Dallas Keown

Dallas Keown, age 75, of Morgantown, Ky. passed away on Sunday, April 28, 2024 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green.  He was born in Butler County, Ky. on February 16, 1949 to the late Densley “Dent” and Ollie Johnson Keown.  Dallas was a factory worker for the Chrysler Corporation and then went into roofing.

Donnie Jenkins

Donnie Jenkins, 68 of Lewisburg, Kentucky passed away on Saturday, April 27, 2024, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital in Owensboro, Kentucky.

He was born Monday, February 13, 1956, the son of the late Vernard (Vert) Jenkins and the late Eva Dean Wilson Jenkins.

He was a heavy equipment operator at Morgantown Quarry.

Jeanetta Sue Flener-Johnson

Jeanetta Sue Flener-Johnson, age 73 of Bowling Green, KY peacefully departed this life on Friday, April 12, 2024.  The Butler County native was born on May 6, 1950 to the late Justus and Ruhie Flener.

Jeanetta was a 1968 graduate of Butler County High School, a graduate of The University of Kentucky and a retired teacher from the Bowling Green Technical College.  She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church.

Margaret Ann Felty, 70, of Calhoun, Kentucky passed away Friday, April 12, 2024, with her family by her side at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born January 25, 1954, in Butler County, Kentucky to the late Byron Felty and Edna Howard Felty. Margaret was a homemaker and member of McLean County Homemakers Friendship Club.

Aside from her parents she was preceded in death by a great granddaughter, Zamari Thompson and siblings, Ira Felty, David Felty, Michael Felty, Diane Jones, Margole Elaine Arnold and Pamella Felty.

Born on June 2, 1942, in Butler County, KY, Joyce's life was a testament to her faith-filled spirit and her boundless capacity to nurture and inspire those around her.

Sarita “Rity” Rice

Sarita “Rity” Rice, 68, of McHenry, Kentucky passed away Thursday, April 11, 2024, with her family by her side at her residence. She was born July 2, 1955, in McHenry, Kentucky to the late Burchell Leach and Anna Margaret Camp Leach. She retired from Subway and was a member of Church of God of Prophecy. Rity enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family and friends.

Aside from her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters, Louvenna Leach and Melissa Chinn and brother, Joy A. Leach.

Dakoda James “DJ” Evans

Dakoda James “DJ” Evans, 30, of Lexington, Kentucky, formerly of Horse Branch, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, April 9, 2024, in Lexington, Kentucky. He was born March 7, 1994, in Owensboro, Kentucky to Michael Evans and Michele Maiden Panchisin. DJ worked as an auto mechanic.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, James Michael Maiden.
