Thelma Christine Garner

Thelma Christine Garner, age 91, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on Monday, June 24, 2024.

She was born November 24, 1932 in Morgantown, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Hubert P. and Essie Flener. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Dick Garner; and two brothers, Randall and Larry Flener.

Thelma worked in the office at the Louisville Auto Auction for many years.

Ernest E. Moore

Ernest E. Moore, age 76, of Scottsville, Ky. passed away on Friday, June 28, 2024 at the Cal Turner Rehab Center.  He was born in Butler County, KY on July 25, 1947.  Ernest was a timber cutter and enjoyed farming, squirrel hunting and digging ginseng.  He was preceded in death by his parents Oakland and Evelyn Jenkins Moore; brother Mike Moore; sisters Rhonda Moore and Sandy Moore.

Ernest is survived by one son, Steven Moore; grandchild Katessa Moore; three great grandchildren Noah Burns, Samantha York and Victoria Collins; two sisters Marilyn Warren (Billy) and Deborah Moore.

Born on June 18, 2002, in Dalton, Georgia, Josiah was a beacon of joy and kindness to all who knew him. He departed this world at the University of Louisville Hospital in Louisville, KY, leaving behind a legacy of love and generosity that will be remembered by many.

Corrine Woodcock, 88, passed away June 21, 2024. She was born March 17, 1936, in Butler County, Kentucky, to Brewer and Annie Cardwell.

After a brief career as an executive secretary at RCA in Indianapolis, she became a very accomplished fulltime home maker. She possessed many talents. She was an expert seamstress and avid gardener.

She is survived by the following immediate family members:

Judith Ann Hughson

Judith Ann Hughson, age 85, of Morgantown, Kentucky passed away on Wednesday, June 26, 2024. She was born in Durham, North Carolina and lived in Ahoskie, North Carolina for many years. In 1969, her family relocated to Morgantown, Kentucky for her husband’s job at Kellwood. They acclimated to their new home away from home and ended up making Morgantown a permanent home. Judy was a proud member of the Morgantown First United Methodist Church. She worked many different jobs during her working years, but most of her career was spent as the office manager at Wan’s Medical Clinic.

Darsie Ann Woosley, age 79, of Morgantown, KY passed away on Sunday, June 23, 2024 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY.  She was born in Morgantown, KY on Jan 4, 1945.  Darsie was a member of Richland Baptist Church and retired from Kellwood, after 21 years.  She enjoyed reading, sewing, gardening and taking care of her flowers.  She was preceded in death by her parents Clemmit and Levi Booth Woosley; siblings Randall Woosley, Donnie Woosley, Flossie Woosley and Jonell Greathouse.
