Janis Pendley Stuart, 80, of Morgantown, Ky., passed away Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at her residence. She was born in Butler Co., Ky. on Nov. 30, 1936 to the late Dotson and Mary Lee Pendley. Janis was a member of Morgantown First Baptist Church, served as Deputy Court Clerk for Short White, worked at Morgantown Deposit Bank, Morgantown Elementary, Kellwood and sang and played piano on the radio. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Royce Pendley and great granddaughter Regan Lee Meredith.

Mrs. Stuart is survived by her husband of 60 years George Stuart of Morgantown; daughter Kelly Stuart of Morgantown; grandson Stuart Meredith (Alicia) of Morgantown; great grandchildren Matthew and Kellon Meredith and step great grandchildren Nataalie, Brianna and Lacey; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held at Smith Funeral Home on Sunday, April 9, 2017 at 2pm with speakers Peggy Ayers and Tommy Hines.
Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 8, 2017 from 3-8pm, Sunday 10am until time of service at Smith Funeral Home, Morgantown, Ky.
