Deanna Shawn Embry, 51 of Morgantown, Ky. passed away Tuesday, May 17, 2016, at her residence. Deanna was born August 8, 1964, in Columbus, Ohio to the late Doy Ed Beasley and Patsy Peach Beasley and wife of the late Terry "Tucky" Embry. Other than her parents and husband she is preceded in death by one niece Jamie Miller.

Mitzi Morris Howard, 62 of Hartford, Ky. passed away Thursday, May 12, 2016, at the Signature Health Care of Hartford. Mitzi was born December 9, 1954, in Illinois to the late James and Betsy Cox Morris. She was a member of Harvest House Church of God of Prophecy in Hartford, Ky. and she was a photography and preschool teacher.
Mitzi Morris Howard is survived by one daughter Jennifer Bell of Arizona; one granddaughter Sadie Bell of Arizona and one sister Linda Ward of Illinois.

Carol Doolin Givens

Carol Doolin Givens, 76, of Owensboro died Thursday, May 12, 2016, at her home. She was born Jan. 24, 1940, in Morgantown to the late Emma Jean and Robert Howard Doolin. She received a master's degree from Western Kentucky University. She retired as an elementary school teacher, having taught in the Grayson County School System and at Burns Elementary School. She was a member of Settle Memorial United Methodist Church and the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR).

Patricia Ann Dalton Parrish, 71 of Roundhill, Ky. passed away Wednesday, May 11, 2016, at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, Ky. Patricia was born on Wednesday, January 10, 1945, in Edmonson County Kentucky to the late Pat and Anna Elizabeth Phelps Dalton. She was of the Catholic Faith and retired from Country Oven Bakery in Bowling Green, Ky. Other than her parents she is preceded in death by two brothers Noal Johnson Jr. and Robert Dalton.

Larry Clay Belcher, 42 of Evansville, Indiana passed away Monday, May 9, 2016, at his residence. Larry was born November 15, 1973, in Bowling Green, Ky. to Kenneth Junior Abbott and Dianna Barks Abbott, who survives. He was a jack of all trades and with most recently digging graves.

Mary Lou Abbott McKinney, 84 of Morgantown, Ky. passed away Tuesday, May 10, 2016, at the Morgantown Care and Rehab. Mary Lou was born June 26, 1931, in Butler County Kentucky to the late Lester and Nora Hope Pruitt and wife of the late Avis "Red" Abbott. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church and a homemaker. Other than her parents and husband she is preceded in death by four brothers.

Estelle L. Wheat, 93, of Bowling Green, died Monday, May 9, 2016 in Bowling Green. The Grassland, KY (Edmonson County) native was a daughter of the late Duncan and Nannie Mae Meredith Lindsey and was preceded in death by her husband, Ronnie R. Wheat.

Mrs. Wheat was a past chairman of the English Department at Bowling Green High School and member of First Baptist Church.

Anna May Smith, 71 of Beaver Dam, Ky. passed away Saturday, May 7, 2016, at the Signature Health Care of Hartford in Hartford, Ky. Anna was born March 16, 1945, in Evansville Indiana to the late Earl Thomas Phelps Sr. and Juanita Wilson Phelps and wife of the late Nealie H. Smith Sr. She was the greatest mother in the word and a homemaker. Other than her parents and husband she is preceded in death by one son John T. Smith, two brothers Roy and Sam Phelps and one sister Linda Vanclaven.

Rev. Raymond T. Ward

Rev. Raymond T. Ward, 91, of Morgantown, Ky, formerly of Hardin County, ran the race, finished the course, and entered his eternal home with his Lord and Savior on Friday, May 6th, 2016 at Greenview Hospital in Bowling Green, Ky, surrounded by family and friends. He was born on August 28th, 1924 in the Eden community of Butler County, KY, to the late Dewey and Ermine Render Ward. Raymond was a 1944 graduate of Morgantown High School, a 1956 and 1972 graduate of Western Kentucky Univeristy, attended Campbellsville College and Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.
