BCHS Indoor Track Meet

Teams from across Kentucky, as well as some from Tennessee, traveled to Murray St. University this past weekend to compete in the West Region indoor track & field meet at the CFSB Center. For the first time in school history, Butler County High School was one of the 14 teams competing.

Lady Bears outlast AC-S after district loss

MORGANTOWN - Butler County returned to the win column at home on Monday night, outlasting visiting Allen County-Scottsville 63-60 in a girls' high school basketball game. 


Bears drop district game to Grayson County, defeat St. Francis

LEITCHFIELD - Visiting Butler County fell short as Grayson County held on to win 47-45 in overtime in a 12th District boys' basketball game on Friday, Jan. 17.
The victory allowed Grayson County to halt a six-game losing skid. 
Grayson County outscored Butler County 9-7 in the extra period to notch the win. 
The Cougars and Bears split their annual 12th District regular-season series. 

Bears fall to Owensboro Catholic, beat Hancock County

MORGANTOWN - Bouncing back at home, Butler County pulled away to beat Hancock County 62-57 in a boys' high school basketball game on Tuesday night. 


Quiver Shiver a huge succes with over 30 schools participating

Over 800 archers from 30 plus schools traveled to the Butler County Extension Office to compete in the two-day State Qualifier Archery Tournament over the weekend.


Bears beat Aces for third straight win

MORGANTOWN - Hayden Hodge scored 20 points to lead Butler County over visiting Cloverport 76-51 in a boys' high school basketball game on Tuesday night. 
With the win, Butler County improved to 12-2.
Cloverport dropped to 1-12 with the loss. 
Following Hodge in double figures in scoring for the Bears and recording a double-double, Parker Rice netted 18 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. 

Lady Bears level Cloverport, 75-42

MORGANTOWN - Butler County notched its second straight win on Tuesday night, pulling away to defeat visiting Cloverport 75-42 in a girls' high school basketball game.
With the win, Butler County improved to 6-11.
Cloverport dropped to 3-8 with the loss.

Butler County Middle School held its 8th grade recognition night for boys' basketball players and cheerleaders on Monday night. The following student-athletes and their parents were honored for their commitment to their respective sports:


Lady Bears drop games to Warren Central, Metcalfe County

MORGANTOWN - The Butler County girls' basketball team pushed two opponents but ultimately opened the new year with a pair of losses. The Lady Bears dropped back-to-back games to Warren Central and Metcalfe County.
