ELIZABETHTOWN — Butler County won the KHSAA Class 2A, Region 2 boys' track and field title at Elizabethtown High School on Thursday, May 16.

With the win, Butler County improved to 9-18.

Lady Bears honors Seniors

The Butler County Lady Bears Softball Team honored their three seniors before Saturday's game.

Addison Miller is Megan and Jesse Miller's daughter. Her favorite memory is her junior season at Hancock County and winning district her first three years. All the full moons they have experienced are another life-lasting memory for Addy.

 She wants to remind her teammates to enjoy every moment because it will be over before you know it.

MES Archery

Congratulations to the Morgantown Elementary Team for another great year!  On May 11, they competed in their final team tournament for this season—the Eastern Nationals held at the KY Expo Center in Louisville. They shot a team score of 3014 and placed 34th out of 199 elementary bullseye teams.

DeLanie Ryan shot a 280 in bullseye and took 9th place out of 1,789 female elementary shooters.

The coaches would like to thank the administrators, teachers, parents, families, and friends who have supported the MES archery team.  Thank you so much and we look forward to next year!

Bears roll past Hopkins County Central 11-1 

MORGANTOWN — Butler County rolled past Hopkins County Central 11-1 in six innings on Thursday, May 2. 

Brycen Mode started on the mound for Butler County and claimed the win. Mode pitched two innings and posted four strikeouts. 

Duncan Tyree pitched in relief for the Bears. Tyree worked four innings on the mound and recorded six strikeouts.

BCHS Softball: Bears finish 3-0 in Owensboro Catholic Classic

OWENSBORO — Butler County compiled a 3-0 record in the Owensboro Catholic Classic on Saturday, May 4.

Butler County 3, Central Hardin 0 (6 innings): Behind a three-hit shutout from pitcher Shelby McDaniel, Butler County blanked Central Hardin 3-0 in the Owensboro Catholic Classic on Saturday, May 4. 

McDaniel pitched six innings and claimed the win in the circle.
