Beech Tree News presents: "Bears Spotlight" Trever Deweese

Trever Deweese

Trever is the 6’5” starting forward for the 12th district championship and third region championship basketball team. He helped lead his team to an undefeated season against 3rd region opponents this year. He is a junior at BCHS and the son of Denny and Britany Deweese. Trever lives in the Leonard Oak community of Butler County.

Trever began playing basketball in second grade with the Butler County Junior Pro league. He was a part of the 6th, 7th and 8th grade GRVC Championships while he was at BCMS. In the offseason, he plays for the Kentucky Supreme 17 AAU team.

His mom, Britany, played basketball for BCMS and his dad, Denny, played for BCMS and the 1996-1999 BCHS basketball teams. Denny was awarded Mr. Rebound at BCHS his senior season.

A lot of Trever’s time is spent in the gym but when he’s not playing basketball, Trever likes to hunt and fish. He attends Smalls Grove Church, puts God first in his life, and loves to be with his family and friends. He mows yards as a part time job in the summer.

Congratulations on being a region champion and good luck at the KHSAA Sweet Sixteen, Trever!
