Meredith Named KHA Legislative Champion by Kentucky Hospital Association

Morgantown Bank and Trust Announces Demolition of Historic Mural Building on Morgantown Square

Record breaking year for ‘Ag Tag’ donations; total divided among 4-H, FFA, KDA

Kentucky farmers donated a record-breaking $931,201.81 to the Ag Tag Program for 2024, the largest amount ever donated in a single year. FRANKFORT – Kentucky farmers donated a record-breaking $931,201.81 to the Ag Tag Program for 2024. The total, the largest amount ever donated in a single year, tops last year’s total by nearly $200,000, Commissioner of Agriculture Jonathan Shell announced today.

BC Schools on alert Monday following police pursuit

A shooting at the courthouse in Elizabeth and a subsequent police pursuit prompted a response from Butler County School officials.  The incident took place on Monday, August 19, when a man fatally shot a mother and daughter and injured another man following a court hearing.  The suspect fled from the scene resulting in a police pursuit.

FAFSA Friday a success for BC Adult Ed

FAFSA Friday and Job Fair Friday were held on August 9 and 30 people showed up for this event.   KHEAA did a FAFSA Bootcamp, which was attended by Amy Smith-Thomas, who serves as the director, teacher and college career navigator at Butler County Adult Education.

Tractor enthusiasts descended on the Butler County Fairgrounds the weekend of August 2-3 for the annual antique tractor show.  The event, sponsored by the Butler County Antique Tractor Club, featured 78 tractor entries, as well as food and fellowship.
