Meredith Named KHA Legislative Champion by Kentucky Hospital Association
FRANKFORT, KY. (Aug. 23, 2024) – The Kentucky Hospital Association (KHA) has recognized Sen. Stephen Meredith as a 2024 KHA Legislative Champion for his outstanding service and leadership in the Kentucky General Assembly. The award was presented during a meeting at Ohio County Hospital in Hartford, where Meredith was honored for his unwavering commitment to advancing healthcare legislation that ensures access to quality patient care across the commonwealth.
As a former hospital CEO, Meredith, R-Leitchfield, brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to his role in the state Senate, where he continues to be a steadfast advocate for the health care community. His efforts have led to the successful passage of critical legislation aimed at safeguarding the health and well-being of Kentuckians.

Sen. Stephen Meredith, R-Leitchfield, represents the 5th Senate District, which includes Breckinridge, Butler, Grayson, Ohio, and Meade Counties. Currently, Meredith serves as co-chair of the Interim Joint Committee on Health Services. He also serves as a member of the Interim Joint Committees on Education; Veterans, Military Affairs and Public Protection; and Families and Children. Additionally, Meredith serves as a member of the newly established Artificial Intelligence Task Force.
