FAFSA Friday a success for BC Adult Ed
FAFSA Friday and Job Fair Friday were held on August 9 and 30 people showed up for this event. KHEAA did a FAFSA Bootcamp, which was attended by Amy Smith-Thomas, who serves as the director, teacher and college career navigator at Butler County Adult Education.
"We had the option to do a FAFSA Block Party sponsored by them so I did just that. We did a FAFSA Block Party and thought some people do not want to go to college so we created a Job Fair Friday to help those who are searching for a job," said Smith-Thomas. "This event was a big success. Thank you to all who volunteered and attended the Block Party."
Smith-Thomas continued, "I love giving back to my community and helping as many people as I can. That is Butler County Adult Ed's mission. I believe there is immense power when a group of caring people get together to work toward the same goal!"
