Continue Need For Organ Donation Registration and Contributions Kentucky can help those in need as transplant waiting list numbers continue to rise

August 3, 2020 - Kentucky Circuit Court Clerks’ Trust For Life (TFL) continues its mission to register as many people as possible to its various organ donation platforms, as well as other ways to support their efforts. While the COVID-19 pandemic has altered how each of us lives our daily lives, they stress that everyone can still register as a donor both safely and efficiently. Here’s how:

Paradise Retirees Chapter presents $2500 to Morgantown Mission

Accepting the donation from Paradise Chapter president Patricia Cobb is Garry McKinney of The Morgantown Mission. Also present in the picture is Gary Southerland, past president of the Paradise Chapter.

Patricia Cobb, president of Paradise Retirees Chapter, announced that recently the Paradise Retiree Chapter applied for and received grants through BVI, which is Bicentennial Volunteers Inc, a branch of Tennessee Valley Authority in Knoxville.

 On Wednesday of this past week, the Chapter presented a $2,500.00 to The Morgantown Mission and God's House of Hope in Island, KY.

Rochester Paddlewheel named; Sheriff gets 3-day advance on budget

Butler County Fiscal Court met in regular session on Monday, July 27, at the Butler County Courthouse. Magistrates Stevie Givens, Timmy Givens, David Whittinghill, and Dillon Bryant were in attendance. Kevin Phelps was absent.

Kevin Blaine with Assured Partners made a presentation concerning his Consulting and Brokerage Firm and the Fiscal Court.

The 2nd Quarter checks have been cut! We are proud to announce a total donation of $7,964.17, bringing the 2020 program total so far to $14,864.80!

Since the program started in early 2013, donations have totaled over $187,000.

July 11th, DelFino and Sandra Hernandez's dream of opening a restaurant came true. Las Amiga's is located at 219 Veterans Way.

 Sandra is proud of their "real Hispanic food which is made fresh daily. "DelFino's sister and aunt are from Mexico and do the cooking.

Logan Telephone Cooperative Gets New Name and New Look

Auburn, KY, 7-21-2020 – Logan Telephone Cooperative announced this week it is unveiling a refreshed brand identity and becoming LTC Connect. The updates show the evolution of the cooperative since its founding in 1954 as it has expanded upon its service offerings.

Over the past several months, management at Logan Telephone Cooperative worked with a design firm to create the new name and image that would accurately depict what the company represents.
