Despite efforts by many school districts across Kentucky to design instruction based on social distancing to limit mask wearing, Governor Andy Beshear's administration and the Kentucky Department of Education have apparently tightened that guidance to now suggest that face masks be worn by students and staff at all times in school buildings except when eating or drinking.
In honor of the 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment to the Constitution, which gave women the right to vote, Butler County Judge-Executive Tim Flener declared August 26 Women's Equality Day in Butler County. Utica, Ky. (August 28, 2020) Kentucky State Police Post 16 – Henderson received a call of a one-vehicle fatal collision on Thursday, August 27, 2020 around 7:15 PM. The collision was in the 4200 block of KY 764 in Ohio County.
Preliminary investigation reveals 27-year-old Kristopher S. West of Morgantown was traveling on KY 764 when he ran off the right shoulder of the roadway and struck a utility pole. Troopers believe his 2005 Toyota Highlander overturned multiple times ejecting all participants.

(Aug. 26, 2020) – Earlier today, Kentucky Farm Bureau (KFB) activated a free, public Wi-Fi internet signal from 155 of its locations statewide and announced its plan to make that same signal available at its remaining 42 offices over the next several weeks. The Wi-Fi network – with its easily identifiable name, KFBFreeWiFi – is accessible from the parking areas around KFB’s buildings 7am-10pm daily and free to anyone who would like to use it.
