New AAA research shows drivers involved in crashes admit to risky driving behaviors

Kentucky public-health officials have reversed their position about social distancing on school buses, after school superintendents said the plan wasn't realistic.

Following the recognition portion of last week’s meeting honoring retiring Superintendent Scott Howard, members of the Butler County Board of Education approved a flurry of agenda items, including insurance renewal, salary schedule and employee handbook.  The Board met Tuesday, June 9, at the Butler County High School Auditorium.

Members of the Butler Edmonson Community Early Childhood Council delivered “see thru” masks to the area’s early childhood providers in the two counties as regulated child care begins to re-open June 15.    Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, regulated child care providers were asked to close their doors on March 20, 2020 in an effort to help slow the spread of the virus. 

Marty Jones, of the Jones Funeral Chapel in Morgantown, Kentucky, was sworn in as the New President of the Funeral Directors Association of Kentucky.

Emotions were clearly visible on Tuesday night as retiring Butler County Schools’ Superintendent Scott Howard was honored at what was his last regular-scheduled meeting of the Butler County Board of Education.  The meeting was held at the Butler County High School Auditorium.

Butler County Fiscal Court met in regular session on Monday, June 8, at the Butler County Courthouse. All magistrates - Stevie Givens, Kevin Phelps, Timmy Givens, David Whittinghill, and Dillon Bryant - were in attendance.

The primary election day is June 23, and for the first time in history, there will be multiple ways to vote.

Roundhill, KY. (June 8th, 2020) – The Kentucky State Police, Post 3 in Bowling Green  was requested by the Butler County Sheriff's Department to investigate a fatal shooting that occurred just before 4:30 pm this afternoon.  KSP Troopers and Detectives responded to the scene of the shooting located on Sleepy Hollow Road in Butler County.
