In a special called work session and meeting Tuesday night at the Eva J. Hawes building, Morgantown city council got down to the business of setting the council pay for those who will be elected this fall.

Morgantown Utilities would like to inform their customers that they will be performing routine sewer inspections that will require using smoke. Starting Tuesday, April 24th and continuing all week. Streets involved Tuesday will be Sunset Loop, Thomas Street, Old Logansport Road, and GL Smith St

Around 9:45 am on Monday, April 23, Paul Simon, a driver for H.T. Hackney, wrecked on Highway 79 North. According to the driver the wind blew the truck and he over-corrected causing him to go off the road, resulting in the truck landing on its side.
Shirley Allen, Director of Volunteer Services at Morgantown Care and Rehab, loves her volunteers. So does the company, as shown Thursday night at an appreciation dinner held at the Gasper River Baptist Association building. A total of 97 signed the register.

Butler County School officials have confirmed that an incident occurred Wednesday afternoon involving a student and a Butler County Schools bus driver.

The Butler County Grand Jury returned indictments against 26 individuals. Arraignment for the individuals listed below has been set for May 8, 2012 at 10:00am. Charges included theft, wanton endangerment, assault, unlawful transaction with a minor, and drugs.
