Two Butler County middle school students, Katherine Rice and Taya Strasburger, were among the nine students selected from across the state to display their agriculture science projects at this week’s Kentucky Farm Bureau annual meeting in Louisville.

The Butler County Fiscal Court held a special called meeting on Tuesday evening in the auxiliary courtroom behind the Judge-Executive’s office in the courthouse. All members were present along with County Attorney Dick Deye and a visitor.

A single-vehicle accident took place earlier today and may have been caused by slick road conditions.  According to sources, a car collided with a tractor trailer in the southbound lane on the William Natcher Parkway near the Cool Springs bridge overpass in Butler County.

A Butler County woman was sent to the hospital for treatment following a single-vehicle accident. Nicole Green, of Morgantown, was traveling on KY 70 Brownsville Road when she lost control of her 2002 Ford F-150 pick-up causing the truck to flip.
