Rollie D. Renfrow, 79, of Morgantown, Ky. passed away on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, Ky.  He was born in Morgantown, Ky. on Jan.

Lawrence Clay Phelps, 68, of Morgantown, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, May 11th, 2022 at Hospice House of Bowling Green, KY.

He was born Nov. 10, 1953 in Louisville, KY, a son of the late Olen “Red” and Dorothy “Dot” Joiner Phelps.

Van B. Cardwell Jr., 72, of Morgantown, Ky. passed away on Monday, May 9, 2022 in Lewisburg, Ky.   He was born in the Jetson community of Butler Co., Ky. on Sept. 16, 1949 to the late Van Buel and Lucy Ann Johnson Cardwell.  He was a Tow Boat Captain and Pilot of the Nugent Sand Company in Louisville, Ky. for over 31 years.  He was also a member of the Teamsters Union.  Van enjoyed driving his tractor, going to the gambling boat, scratching off lottery tickets and traveling.

Hazel Barbee Newman, age 101 of Panama City, Florida passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at the Community Health and Rehab Center in Panama City, FL. Hazel was born on Wednesday, December 29, 1920 in Rochester, KY to the union of the late Daniel Thomas and Clara Brown Barbee and wife of the late James O'Neal Newman. After graduating from Rochester High School, she attended Business School and worked as a Administrative Secretary in Louisville, KY.

Steven A. Tyler, 72, of Clarksville, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, May 4, 2022.

Richard Allen Brown Sr., age 74, of Morgantown. KY passed away Sunday, May 1, 2022 at his residence. Richard was born Monday, August 25, 1947 in Shelbyville, KY to the late Gilbert Franklin Brown and Martha Jean Hornback Timmie.

Betty Agnes Brown, age 82 passed away Sunday, May 1, 2022 at Morgantown Care and Rehab. Betty was born Wednesday, October 4, 1939 in Butler County, KY to the late Hesbie and Helen Tomes Embry. She was a member of Christian Home Church of Christ and attended Morgantown Church of Christ. Betty worked at Kanes Manufacturing for 35 years and was a cook at Dairy Queen and Gone Fishing. She loved gardening, enjoyed her flowers, traveling and cooking for people. Other than her parents, Betty is preceded in death by one son, Stacy L.

Ronald Dale Stinson, 67, of Morgantown, Ky. passed away on Sunday, April 24, 2022 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, Ky.  He was born in Indianapolis, In. on Dec.

Helen Louise Martin McKinney of Morgantown, Ky. passed away on Saturday, Apr. 23, 2022 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, Ky.  She was born on Feb. 1,1943 in Butler Co., Ky. to the late Nathaniel and Laura Webster Martin.  Helen was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family.  She worked at Kellwood for several years.  She is preceded in death by her parents; daughter Robin Martin; brothers George, Estill, Andrew, Milton, Henry, William and Don Martin; sisters Alberta Peay, Margaret Fugate, Christine Tyree and Sue Cardwell.

Emogene Tomes, 95, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Wednesday, April 20 2022.

Emogene was born on April 10 1927, in Love, Kentuck (Butler County) to Sylvester and Nellie Tomes.

Emogene retired in 1991 from Kitchen Kompact. Imogene was a member of Scottsburg Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by his wife Glendolyn Rhea Tomes (Embry), by his two infant sons, by a grandson, by his parents and all of his siblings, and three daughters- in - law.
