Lawrence Clay Phelps

Lawrence Clay Phelps, 68, of Morgantown, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, May 11th, 2022 at Hospice House of Bowling Green, KY.

He was born Nov. 10, 1953 in Louisville, KY, a son of the late Olen “Red” and Dorothy “Dot” Joiner Phelps.

Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Sue Phelps;  1 much older sister Christine Phelps (Kermit);  two brothers, Ed Phelps (Lindi) and Tony Phelps (Gayle);  brother cousin Perry Tucker (Kellie); two children, Joshua (Deeann) Sarah Florence (Willie), three Step-Children, Kim Daugherty (DJ),  Kelly Bryant (Billy) and Luke Thomas (Jennifer); eight grandchildren, Tasha, Jordan, Madilyn, Emmaline, Liberty, Laurie, Brinslee, and Mason; three Great Grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews and special aunts.

He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, a member of Local Pipeliners 798, and Local Boilermakers 374.

Donations can be made to Hospice of Southern Kentucky, Bowling Green KY.

Funeral services will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Friday, May 13, 2022 at 11:00am with burial in the Dan Johnson Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 12, 2022 from 4:00pm - 8:00pm at the Jones Funeral Chapel and Friday, May 13, 2022 from 10:00am until funeral time at 11:00am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
