Betty Agnes Brown, age 82 passed away Sunday, May 1, 2022 at Morgantown Care and Rehab. Betty was born Wednesday, October 4, 1939 in Butler County, KY to the late Hesbie and Helen Tomes Embry. She was a member of Christian Home Church of Christ and attended Morgantown Church of Christ. Betty worked at Kanes Manufacturing for 35 years and was a cook at Dairy Queen and Gone Fishing. She loved gardening, enjoyed her flowers, traveling and cooking for people. Other than her parents, Betty is preceded in death by one son, Stacy L. Brown, one brother, Jerry Embry, one sister, Judy Longhenry and brother-in-laws; Jarald Jenkins, M.D. Bryant, Shirley West, Charles Bunger and Thurman Coy.

Betty is survived by her husband of 56 years, Thomas Brown of Morgantown, KY; four sisters Joyce West of Louisville, KY, Beulah Jenkins,  Rennie Bryant and Reba West all of Morgantown, KY; sister-in-laws Joy Baldwin, Fredia Bunger, Diana Coy and Dorothy Brown all of Morgantown, KY; one brother-in-law, David Longhenry of Las Vegas, NV and her puppy dogs, Shy and Lilly.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at 11:00 AM at the Jones Funeral Chapel with Bro. Johnny Kelton officiating. Burial will be in the Christian Home Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 3, 2022 from 4:30 PM until 8:00 PM at the Jones Funeral Chapel and Wednesday, May 4, 2022 from 9:00 AM until funeral time at 11:00 AM at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
