Steven A. Tyler, 72, of Clarksville, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, May 4, 2022.

Steve was born on September 24, 1949, in Butler County, KY, and was a 1967 graduate of Clarksville High School in Clarksville, Indiana. Steve worked as a Train Engineer and a Conductor with Illinois Central Railroad, Paducah & Louisville Railroad, and Louisville & Indiana Railroad where he retired. He was a member of Southeast Christian Church and helped with the new church start-up of New Song Baptist Church in New Albany, IN.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, May 10, 2022, at Chapman Funeral Home, 431 Harrison Ave, Clarksville, IN, with burial to follow at Little Muddy Cemetery in Morgantown, KY. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 PM on Monday, May 9, 2022, at the funeral home.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Wilson; his brother, Robert Bales; and his sister, Diana (Tyler) Workman.

He is survived by his father, William Tyler (Colleen); brothers, Tom Bales (Missie), John Tyler (April) and Tim Tyler (Ann).
