Janette Clark Coleman, age 75, of Morgantown, Ky. passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2022 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green. She was born in Butler Co., KY on July 18, 1947 to the late William “Billy” and Clementine Miller Clark.  She was a member of Cool Springs General Baptist Church and worked at Coleman Concrete Construction, Inc. and at Coleman Farms.   She loved to work in her flowers, loved to dance and loved to shop.  Janette was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers William Roswell Clark and Andy Clark; one sister Freda Austin Duncan.  

Iris Dell Martin Moore, age 83 passed away Friday the 9th day of December 2022 at Morgantown Care & Rehab Center. Iris was born to the union of the late Jewel (Red) Martin Sr. and wife Blanche Harrell Martin on Saturday the 19th day of August 1939. Iris was the wife of the late Norman Brooks and the late Harold M. Moore.

Richard A. "Chicken" Cooper, age 70 of Morgantown, KY passed away Thursday, December 8, 2022 at his residence surrounded by his family. Richard was born on Monday, May 26, 1952 in the Neafus Community of Butler County, KY to the union of the late Tildon Singleton Cooper and Edna Faustine Haynes Cooper. He was a member of Oak Ridge General Baptist Church and a electrician for many years. Chicken enjoyed cars, racing, watching basketball games and spending time with family and friends. Other than his parents he is preceded in death by one brother Gary Cooper.

Hayden Paul Hampton, age 27 of Morgantown, KY passed away Thursday, December 1, 2022 in Petersburg, Virginia. He was born Friday, May 26, 1995 in Paducah, KY to Stephen Dale and Keila Davis Hampton. Hayden served in the Army National Guard for 2 years and was an Electrician Apprentice for B3 Electric in Russellville, KY. He was an avid reader, loved playing video games, and especially loved playing airsoft. Hayden loved family, friends and his Hellhounds Airsoft Brothers. He is preceded in death by his grandfather William Paul Hampton Jr.

Kathleen Phelps, age 78 of Morgantown, KY passed away Thursday, December 1, 2022 at her residence. Kathleen was born on Sunday,  January 16, 1944 in Racine, Wisconsin to the union of the late Edward and Alice Lord Hackman. Over the course of her life, Kathy lived in Wisconsin, Kentucky, Texas and Minnesota. Wherever she moved, she used her creative talent and work ethic to turn her house into a home. Kathy's straight forward, honest nature and loyalty, helped her build friendships that endured the test of time and distance.

Kibby Sherman Norris, age 77, of Franklin, Ky. passed away on Sunday, Nov. 27, 2022 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green. He was born in Butler Co., KY on June 26, 1945.  He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Morgantown and an entrepreneur.  He was a United States Army Veteran having served in the Vietnam War and was a purple heart recipient.  Kibby was preceded in death by his second wife Elisabeth Norris; mother Erdine Moore; brothers James Howard, Jerry Roach, Michael Moore and Richard Moore.

Hugh C. Newton, age 82 of Logansport, KY passed away Friday, November 25, 2022 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY. Hugh was born on Sunday, October 20, 1940 in Warren County, KY to the union of the late Floyd Carson and Margie Pauline Hines Newton. He was a member of Salem Missionary Baptist Church and a farmer. Hugh loved working on his farm, his cattle and hunting. 

Hugh C. Newton is survived by his wife of 59 1/2 years Wilma Newton of Logansport, KY and one son Lanny Newton of Cave City, KY. 

James Paul “J.P” McKinney, age 56, of Morgantown, Ky. passed away on Friday, Nov. 25, 2022 at the Hospice House of Bowling Green. He was born in Butler Co. to the late Larry Wayne McKinney and Dottie Cannon McKinney on May 16, 1966. J.P. was a truck driver, loved to fish and ride motorcycles with his wife. He was preceded in death by parents, grandparents, Harvey and Octavia Cannon. Dink and Minnie Mary McKinney. Uncle Stanley Cannon. First wife Penny McKinney.

Johnny R. Dotson, 81, of Morgantown, KY passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2022 at the Morgantown Care and Rehab Center. He was born in Detroit, MI on Nov. 11, 1941 to the late William O. and Sarah Charlene Moore Dotson. He attended Morgantown Cumberland Presbyterian Church, was a Heavy Equipment Operator and enjoyed watching tv and hunting.  He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings Carmen Geib, David Dotson and Kathy Zimmerman.

He is survived by his son Harold Dotson (Cathy) of Wilmington, NC and several nieces and nephews.
