Iris Dell Martin Moore, age 83 passed away Friday the 9th day of December 2022 at Morgantown Care & Rehab Center. Iris was born to the union of the late Jewel (Red) Martin Sr. and wife Blanche Harrell Martin on Saturday the 19th day of August 1939. Iris was the wife of the late Norman Brooks and the late Harold M. Moore. She was preceded in death by her infant twin sister Iva Nell Martin, brother Donald (Red) Martin &wife Von Martin, sisters Phyllis Martin Cartwright, Gerri Martin Adams, granddaughter Tessa Moore, great great granddaugther Eleanor Riley, step mother Mary Hall Martin and special friend Mr. Don Lindsey. Iris had been a member of Salem Baptist Church where she was a active in GA's missions, teaching Sunday School and VBS. She also attended Barnett's Lick Baptist Church and Richland Baptist Church. She enjoyed volunteering and conducting Bible study at Morgantown Care & Rehab. Iris worked as a nurse at Wan's Medical Clinic for many years and was a recipient of the Jefferson Award.  

Iris Moore is survived by five sons Norman Scott Brooks wife Debbie of Anderson, TX, Brian Dale Brooks of Bowling Green, KY, Harold Todd Moore wife Gail, Gregory Alan Moore wife Chasity and Michel M. Moore wife Michele all of Morgantown, KY; 10 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; 4 sisters Alice Martin, Peggy Martin Williams, Doris Martin Vissing husband Bob and Debbie Martin Guthrie; three brothers David Martin wife Javene, Jewell Martin Jr. wife Pam and Michael Martin wife Regina; brother in law Max Cartwright and blessed by God to have several nieces, nephews, cousins and good friends. 

Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Monday, December 12, 2022 at 11:30 am with Bro. Jewell Martin Jr. officiating. Burial will be in the Salem Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 11, 2022 from 5:00pm - 8:00pm and Monday, December 12, 2022 from 8:00am until funeral time at 11:30am at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
