Osby Martin, 88, of  Aberdeen passed away Sunday, May11, 2014 at Morgantown Care and Rehab.  Osby was born April 4, 1926  in Butler County  to the late  Wilbur and Altha Willis Martin and was husband of the late Helen Martin. He was a member of Belmont General Baptist Church and enjoyed discussing politics at Embry's Grocery and spending time with his family.  He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and daughter Sharon, and three brothers, Uldric, Adril, and Beckham Martin.
 
Osby Martin is survived by two sons, Roger Martin of Aberdeen and James Martin and wife Angie of Morgantown; 4 grandchildren Shannon Lasiter and husband Eddie of Aberdeen, Amanda Johnson and husband Geoffrey,  Jonathan Martin and wife  CJ and Brian Martin all of Morgantown; 5 great grandchildren Lance, Zane and Lacey Lasiter of Aberdeen,  Sonny and Sammy Johnson of Morgantown and 1 brother Marlin Martin and wife Anna of Morgantown and several nieces and nephews.
 
Funeral Service will be held at Smith Funeral Home, Tuesday, May 13 at 11:00 am with Bro. Murl Gray officiating . Burial will follow in the Belmont Church Cemetery . Visitation will be Monday, May 12 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm and Tuesday 8:00 am until time of service at Smith Funeral Home.
