Nova R. Farmer, 82, of Caneyville passed away Thursday, August 16, 2012, at the Spring View Health & Rehab Center in Leitchfield, KY. 

She was born on August 18, 1929 in Grayson County, the daughter of James Washington Higgs and Hetty Mae Smith Higgs. She was a nursing home caregiver.

Douglas Daugherty

Douglas Daugherty, age 89 of Morgantown, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, August 16, 2012 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, Ky. Douglas and his twin brother Wilbur were born September 7, 1922 in the community of Banock. His parents were Enos and Audrey Howard Daugherty. He was preceded in death by Wilbur and his oldest brother Kenneth. Douglas is survived by his brother Chesley and wife Connie of the Banock Community.

Virginia Sue Renfrow, 71 of Provo passed away on Thursday, August 16, 2012, at her son's residence in Provo, Kentucky. Virginia was born in Kenova, West Virginia, on February 9, 1941, to the late Delbert George Hutchinson and Vina Bell Nichols Hutchinson-Sanders . She was a former owner of  Midway Cafe and loved to quilt . Virginia was preceded in death by her parents and  husband Yeullis Maurice Renfrow Sr., son Jack Richard White Jr. and  brothers; Willard and George Hutchison.

Roger Walton Maxfield, 62 of Rochester, passed away Sunday, August 12, 2012 at his residence. Roger was born December 14, 1949, in Muhlenburg County to the late James R. and Esthline Cottrell Maxfield. He was a member of Rochester Missionary Baptist Church and retired heavy equipment operator. He was preceded in death by two brothers Randall and Donald Maxfield.

Paulette Smith Fritz, age 63 of Sikeston, Missouri passed away Tuesday, August 7, 2012, at her residence. She was born January 25, 1949 in Woodbury, Kentucky, daughter of the late Paul and Hazel (Kincade) Smith. She was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church and a self employed Hairdresser at Shear Perfection in Sikeston. On August 14, 1978 in Raton, New Mexico, she married Joe Fritz he survives of the home in Sikeston.

Rita McKinney Hunt, 70 of Morgantown, passed away Saturday, August 11, 2012 at the Morgantown Care and Rehab in Morgantown. Rita was born June 10, 1942 in Butler County to the late Thurman and Eva Embry McKinney and she was the wife of the late James "Jimmy" Hunt. Brenda Kay White, 61, of Leitchfield, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, August 11, 2012, at her residence in Leitchfield, Kentucky. The Butler County native was born March 5, 1951, to the late Clarence Edward Phelps and Dorothy Lee Douglas Phelps.  She was an employee of MTD Manufacturing and a member of Carve Rock Church. Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Doris Lou Phelps, and in-laws Owen and Mildred White.

Delora Jerlene Lewis

Delora Jerlene Lewis, age 73, of Renee Street, Russellville, died at the home of her daughter on Friday, August 10, 2012.  She was a Butler County native, born March 3, 1939 to the late Anthony Bert Hudnall and Nelda Peay Hudnall. She retired from Emerson Electric and was a member of the Crittenden Drive Church of Christ.  She was preceded in death by her husband, A. D. Lewis and a grandson, Jeremy Grise.
