Loreda Dean Renfrow Hatcher, age 71, of Morgantown, passed away Wednesday, July 13, 2016, at Morgantown Care and Rehab.  She was born on Nov. 2, 1944, to the late Hillary and Gracie Felty Renfrow.  She was a member of Big Muddy Missionary Baptist Church, a homemaker, loved to clean, do crossword puzzles and watch game shows, especially Wheel of Fortune.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Jimmy Hatcher; granddaughter Jaclyn Daugherty; grandson Alex Foster; sisters Jean Carroll and Sherlyn Stice.

 Ruth Ann Smith, 68, of Bowling Green, passed away Tuesday, July 12, 2016, at the Hospice House of Southern Kentucky, Bowling Green, Ky. She was born in Bonne Terre, MO. on September 4, 1947, to the late John and Mabel Mockey Ellis. Ruth was a caregiver, attended the United Methodist Church in Bowling Green. She loved painting, gardening, crocheting, and crafts. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sons Ronnie and Kevin Branch, great- grand daughter Heartlynn Grace Ann King and several brothers. 

William J. "Bill" Johnson, 58 of Louisville, Ky. passed away Sunday, July 3, 2016, at his residence. Bill was born March 24, 1958, in Butler County Kentucky to the late Tower and Nellie Farris Johnson. He was of the Baptist faith and employed at Koroseal Interior Products in Louisville, Ky. Other than his parents he is preceded in death by two sisters Myrtie Duke and Roselee Johnson and four brothers James, Gene, Ben and Sherman Johnson.

Vivian Elaine Phelps, 59 of Morgantown, Ky. passed away Saturday, July 2, 2016, at her residence. Vivian was born on Friday, August 31, 1956, in Edmonson County Kentucky to the late Hubert and Sylva Joiner Stice. She was a homemaker and other than her parents she is preceded in death by two sisters Emma Murphy and Evonne Vincent and three brothers Bub, Walton and Elmus Stice.

Joshua D. White, 32 of Morgantown, Ky. passed away Friday, July 1, 2016, in Butler County, Ky. Joshua was born March 8, 1984 in Nashville, TN to the late Curtis White and Stacey Lucas Embry, who survives. He was a member of New Zion Baptist Church. Other than his father he is preceded in death by his grandparents Olis and Tinsie White; grandmother Ann Lucas and one brother Ronnie Olis White.

Ethie Evans Annis, 83, of Logansport, KY, passed away Friday, July 1, 2016, at Morgantown Care and Rehab in Morgantown, Ky. Ethie was born April 6, 1933, in Butler Co. KY to the late Woody and Sudie Burden Evans and wife of the late Waldemar Annis. Waldemar and Ethie enjoyed camping in the mountains, fishing, antiquing and gardening. She was also a member of Salem Baptist Church and Eastern Star.

Ronnie (Rockhead) Jones, 57, of Morgantown passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2016, at the South Sunflower County Hospital in Indianola, MS. He was born in Butler Co. on February 4, 1959, to the late Ray and Elizabeth Phelps Jones. Ronnie was a member of the Temple View General Baptist Church. He was a truck driver and loved people and would do anything for you. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Douglas Jones.

Edith R. Renfrow, 92, of Bowling Green, KY, passed away Friday, June 24, 2016, at Signature Healthcare in Bowling Green, KY. Edith was born May 30, 1924, in Butler Co. Ky to the late Jasper Newton and Helen Colburn Phelps and wife of the late Starlin Renfrow. She was retired from Thomas Industry in Beaver Dam, KY. and was a member of Richpond Church of Christ. Other than her parents, Edith is preceded in death by one daughter, Shirley Hunt, one son, Frederick Renfrow, two brothers; Howard Phelps and Audley Tarrence and one sister Margaret Billingsley.

Vicky H. “Vic” Cardwell, 77, of St. Francisville, IL passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 23, 2016 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, IN with his loving family by his side.He was born on January 9, 1939 in Morgantown, KY the son of Arthur and Media (Colburn) Cardwell. He married Debbie Perry on August 16, 1997 and together they enjoyed eighteen years of marriage. Vic’s family was his pride and joy. He especially liked spending time with his family and his grandchildren… who called him “Pappy”. Among Vic’s hobbies he enjoyed being outdoors, camping, fishing and hunting.

Elizabeth "Myrl" Hines Overstreet, 89, of Morgantown passed away Friday, June 24, 2016.  She was born on May 14, 1927, to the late Seth and Elizabeth Dye Hines.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Overstreet and grandson, Keith Martin.
Mrs. Overstreet was a member of the United Methodist Church of Morgantown.  Her passion was cooking and baking.
