Fred Schaser

 Fred Schaser, 89, of  Morgantown, Ky. passed away Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, Ky.  Fred was born July 3, 1925  in Vineland, NJ  to the late George and Caroline Bruni Schaser.  He was retired from the Army where he was a WWII Veteran and a Korean Veteran, he also worked at TVA and was a car salesman for Roy Phelps Ford.  He was a member of the U.S.

Harlos Embry

Harlos N. Embry, 64, of Caneyville, passed away Saturday, August 9th, 2014 in Marengo, IN. 

He was born on April 26th, 1950 in Caneyville, the son of Neil and Willadean Embry. Harlos was a member of the Carpenters’ Union and loved riding horses and driving teams.

Redell Cardwell

Redell Cardwell, 70, of  Morgantown, Ky. passed away Monday, August 11, 2014 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, Ky.  Redell was born March 27, 1944  in Butler County  to the late Robert Marion and Mae Holman Hatcher.  She was a retired Customer Service Representative at WRECC, a member of Big Muddy Baptist Church and Order of the Eastern Star #531.  She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister Melita White, two brothers Jimmy and Delton Hatcher, sister in law Olivia Hatcher and brother in law Keith Hunt.

Mary Blunk Hunt

Mary Blunk Hunt, 76 of Morgantown, Ky. passed away Saturday August 9, 2014 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, Ky. The Butler County native was born February 19, 1938 to the late Obie G. and Magnolia LaMar Blunk.She was a member of Christian Home Church of Christ and she worked along side her family for Green River Catering. Mary is preceded in death by her parents; two daughters Diana Cupp and Cathy Woosley; one granddaughter Jacelyn Michelle Woosley and two brothers Gaston and Emmitt Blunk.

Autie Binion

Autie Binion, 82 of Roundhill, Ky. passed away Tuesday August 5, 2014 at his residence. The Pine Grove, Ky. native was born April 8, 1932 to the late Clifford and Ina Howard Binion. Autie was a member of Big Reedy Church of Christ, a United States Army Veteran serving in Korea and worked for Warren County and Butler County Road Departments. He is preceded in death by his parents, one sister Ina Binion and three brothers Edward, Clyde and Lonnie Binion.

Cynthia Lea Grise Camplin

Cynthia Lea Grise Camplin, 53, lost her battle with ALS/Lou Gehrig's disease on August 4, 2014 at the Ridgewood Terrace Nursing Home. Cynthia was born at Muhlenberg Community Hospital in Greenville on June 12, 1961 to Claude Eldon Grise and Frances Ann Brown Grise.

Cynthia grew up in southern Butler County in the community of Graveltown. She attended 3rd district elementary in Huntsville, Ky and graduated from Butler County High School in Morgantown. She went on to earn a Bachelors of Science Degree in Dietetics and Institutional Administration from Western Kentucky University.

William Eugene "Gene" Sutton

William Eugene "Gene" Sutton, 90 of Morgantown, Kentucky passed away Friday, August 1, 2014 at his residence. The Butler County native was born September 2, 1923 to the late Ernest and Myrle McKinney Sutton and husband of the late Mary Sweatt Sutton. Gene was a World War II Navy Veteran, worked at Waddle's Department Store for many years and was a retired painter. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife and daughter Exie Ruth Sutton.

James "Big Jim" Phelps

James "Big Jim" Phelps, 77 of Morgantown, Ky. passed away Friday, August 1, 2014 at his residence. The Butler County native was born December 4, 1936 to the late Lester and Pauline Shephard Phelps. Big Jim started his public service career as Butler County Deputy Sheriff and was elected as sheriff of Butler County and started serving in 1978, after being sheriff he started working as Deputy Jailer at the Butler County Jail in 1983 until present.

JoAnn Martin Daffron

JoAnn Martin Daffron, 78 of Bowling Green, Ky., formerly of Morgantown, Ky., passed away Thursday, July 31, 2014 at the Rosewood Manor Health Care Center in Bowling Green, Kentucky. The Butler County native was born September 18, 1935 to the late Dewey Martin and Belle Embry Martin. She was a retired from Holly Carburetor after 42 years of service. She is preceded in death her parents, five brothers Robert, Ed, Archie, Charlie and Ray Martin and three sisters Myrl Lindsey, Erlene Keown and Linda Porter.
