Ruth Ann Smith, 68, of Bowling Green, passed away Tuesday, July 12, 2016, at the Hospice House of Southern Kentucky, Bowling Green, Ky. She was born in Bonne Terre, MO. on September 4, 1947, to the late John and Mabel Mockey Ellis. Ruth was a caregiver, attended the United Methodist Church in Bowling Green. She loved painting, gardening, crocheting, and crafts. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sons Ronnie and Kevin Branch, great- grand daughter Heartlynn Grace Ann King and several brothers.

She is survived by one daughter April Trussell (Robert) of Bowling Green; Step-children Jonathan Smith, James Smith and Angie Cox; grandchildren Dakota Branch (Rosa Echeverria), Chelsey Trussell, Samuel Banks, Autumn King (James), Ashley, Jonathan, Aidean, Mackenzie and Abigail Smith; Cody and Adrienne White, Brooklyn and Bryson Cox, Cynthia Brooks; Great-grandkids Jasmine and Jason Echeverria, Jacob Branch and Emma King; one brother Wendy Ellis (Bobbie Smith); one sister Betty Whittaker; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral Service will be held at Smith Funeral Home in Morgantown on Saturday, July 16 at 2 pm.
Burial will follow in the Hill Haven Memory Garden Cemetery.
Visitation will be Friday, July 15 from 4-8pm and Saturday 9 am until time of service at Smith Funeral Home.
