Cecil J. Embry, 85, of Butler County, passed away Friday, November 28th, 2014 at his residence. 

He was born on July 7th, 1929 in Butler County. He was the son of the late Vannie and Mary (Brooks) Embry. He served in the Army during the Korean Conflict and later received a Purple Heart for his service.  Cecil was a member of the American Legion Post 81 in Leitchfield. He was the 2013 Veteran of the Year in Butler County.  He was also an avid gardener.

 William G. Dobbs, 82, of Owensboro, died November 28, 2014. He was born August 12, 1932 in Drakesboro, Kentucky to the late William Joseph and Lettie Mae (Coin) Dobbs. Bill graduated from Drakesboro High School and Western Kentucky Teachers College (WKU). 

He was a veteran of the US Army. 

Barbara Hunt Flener, 67, of Morgantown, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at her residence. Barbara was born on Thursday, January 16, 1947 in Butler County, Kentucky to William Logan Hunt and the late Golda Marie Johnson Hunt. She was a member of Aberdeen Baptist Church, where she served as a Sunday School and Vacation Bible School Teacher.  She was very active in many of the ministries in the church.

Eliza Ann Cockriel, 78, of Bowling Green, KY entered into rest Thursday, November 27, 2014.

A native of Butler Co., KY she was the daughter of the late Taylor and Eva Woosley Deweese. She is preceded in death by her brother, Glespie Deweese.

Linda H. Jenkins Weldon 55, of Bowling Green passed away peacefully with her family and friends at her side, Sunday, November 23, 2014 at her residence.  Linda was born April 15, 1959 in Bowling Green.  She was preceded in death by her father, Clyde Jenkins.

Deloide C. Evans, 71 of Morgantown, Ky. passed away Tuesday, November 25,2014 at his son's residence. Deloide was born November 28, 1942 in Butler County Kentucky to the late Carl and Louie Abner Evans. He was a member of New Liberty Missionary Baptist Church, retired from Young's Manufacturing and loved to rabbit hunt. Deloide is preceded in death by his parents and one brother J.C. Evans.

Mildred Faith Jennings, 76, died on Monday, November 24, 2014, at St. Joseph East Hospital in Lexington,KY. She was born in Sunfish, KY, on February 9, 1938. After traveling with her husband R.L. throughout the U.S.

BROWNSVILLE, Ky.- Linda Nash, 68, of Morgantown passed away at 5:15 am. on November 22, 2014 at the Morgantown Care and Rehabilitation Center.

Johnny Buckley, 91, of Morgantown, Kentucky passed away Sunday, November 23, 2014 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Johnny was born on Saturday, July 21, 1923 in Buena Vista, Kentucky to the late William and Mary Record Buckley. He was the oldest member of Richland Missionary Baptist Church and he was retired from General Electric after 33 years of service. Johnny always loved farming, keeping a pretty yard and garden, going to church, and enjoyed his Sunday School class.

Marjorie T. Cartwright, 83 of Morgantown, KY, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, November 24, 2014 at her residence. Marjorie was born on Saturday, October 31, 1931 in Ohio County Kentucky to the late Moscow and Amy Phelps Taylor. She was a member of Aberdeen Missionary Baptist Church where she was very active in many of the ministries in the church. She was a member of Gasper River Association Quilting Ministry, past deputy PVA, worked in garment industry for many years, retired department manager at Walmart and homemaker. Marjorie loved her family, church, sewing and cooking.
