James Randall Farris

James Randall Farris age 77 of Roundhill, KY, passed away peacefully Thursday, Oct. 13 at 3:05 pm at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Leitchfield to the late Daniel and Dora Ausbon Farris. He is also preceded in death by his sisters, Pauline McCormick, Kathleen Williams and Eveline Childress. Brothers, Eval, David, and Paul Farris. He was retired from the Department of Agriculture and a retired farmer. He attended Mt. Pleasant Church of Christ. A Navy Veteran. He was a longtime Board member of the Butler County Farm Bureau and served as past president. Butler County Fiscal Court Magistrate. He was active in the Butler County and Reedyville Rural Development. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Betty Sue Young Farris. Sons, Edward Farris of Louisville, and Daniel Farris (Sabrina), of Roundhill. Grandchildren, Easton, Madison, Chase, Turner, Harper, Cash and Logan Claire Farris. Sister, Mary Cave and Linda Sadler (Darrell). Several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Also a brothers-in-law, Elliott McCormick, J.D. Williams and Bryant Childress.

Visitation will be 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm Monday and after 9:00 am Tuesday at the J.C. Kirby and Son Lovers Lane Chapel.

Funeral service will be 11:00 am Tuesday at the funeral chapel, with burial to follow in the Honaker Cemetery in Butler County.

Expressions of Sympathy may be made in his memory to the to Hospice of Southern KY and the Reedyville RD Cemetery Fund.
