Wilma Hope McDougall Kitchens, age 93, of Newburgh, IN, passed away at 11:55 p.m. on Thursday, September 6, 2018, at Linda E. White Hospice House.

Wilma was born March 25, 1925, in Morgantown, KY, to Bruce and Vilura (Hope) McDougall.  While her loving husband of 74 years, William W. “Bill” Kitchens served in WWII, Wilma was a riveter at Republic Aviation in Evansville.  She attended Calvary Baptist Church and was a member of the Eastern Star, Cumberland Chapter. Wilma was a homemaker who enjoyed needlework, quilting, watching Jeopardy and reading.  She was a lifelong learner.

Karen Faye West Phelps, 53, of  Jetson, Ky. passed away Sunday, September 16, 2018, at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, Ky. Karen was born in Warren Co., Ky. on September 10, 1965, to the late James Edward and Loveina Faye Cardwell West.   She was a homemaker and a member of Temple View General Baptist Church.  Karen loved cooking, sitting on her back porch, the beach, going on cruises, riding Harley's with her husband J.D. and taking care of her grandkids.  She was preceded in death by her parents and son Josh Phelps.
 

Mable Johnson, 83, of Indianapolis, IN., passed away on Friday, September 14, 2018, at Prairie Lakes Nursing Home in Noblesville, IN.  She was born in Butler County on May 9, 1935, to the late Clyde Johnson and Julie Lindsey Johnson.  Mable was a member of Green Valley Church of Christ.  Retired from a nursing facility as a CNA.   She was preceded in death by parents and brother J.C. Johnson.
 

Leon Brooks, 81, of Morgantown, Kentucky passed away Wednesday September 12, 2018 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY. Leon was born Tuesday July 6, 1937 in Butler County, Kentucky to the late Jasper and Myrtle Embry Brooks. He was a member of Barnetts Lick Missionary Baptist Church, a 50 year member of Banock Masonic Lodge #824 and he retired from the Kentucky Department for National Resources.

Sharon Diane Taylor White, 66 of Morgantown, Kentucky, died September 11, 2018 at Hospice of Southern Kentucky in Bowling Green, Kentucky.  Sharon was born December 31, 1951 to the late James Robert and Edna Earl Taylor.  She is preceded in death by her sisters Victoria Amos and Brenda Evans.

Ashley Nicole Phelps, 30 of Morgantown, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, September 5th, 2018 at the Jewish Hospital Rudd Heart and Lung Center in Louisville, Kentucky. Ashley was born October 15th, 1987 in Louisville, KY to the late Stonie Twitty and Kathy Twitty of Morgantown.

Alayna Maurine Porter, age seven months old passed away Wednesday, September 5, 2018, at the Logan Memorial Hospital in Russellville, Kentucky. Alayna was born February 5, 2018, in Leitchfield, Kentucky to Levi Todd Butler Porter and Rene Maurine Gray. She is preceded in death by her maternal great-grandfather Charles Urguhart.
