Adril Embry

Adril Glenn Embry, 77, of Morgantown, passed away Friday, September 16, 2016 at the Medical Center Hospital, Bowling Green, Ky.  He was born in Butler County on December 24, 1938 to the late Recil and Ruby Burden Embry. He was a member of Aberdeen Baptist Church, a self employed logger and enjoyed shooting pool and being with his friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother David Embry.

Glen Thomas (Tommy) White Jr.

Tommy White, 72, of  Morgantown, passed away Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at Greenview Regional  Hospital in Bowling Green, Kentucky. He was born in Butler County, Kentucky on December 14, 1943 to the late Glen Thomas and Florence Ellis White.  He was a U.S. Navy Veteran, worked as a  self-employed truck driver, was a member of Woodbury Baptist Church and the V.F.W. Post 5837. Tommy enjoyed riding horses and spending time with his grandson Jacob.

Novie "Niva" Mae Woosley

Novie "Niva" Mae Woosley, 89 of Morgantown, Ky. passed away Monday, September 12, 2016, at her residence. Novie was born March 21, 1927, in Butler County Kentucky to the late Luther and Loney D. Willis Haynes and wife of the late Frank Woosley. She was a member of Bee Springs Missionary Baptist Church and a homemaker. Other than her parents and husband she is preceded in death by two sisters Nola Goodall and Ola Phelps.

Anna Neely Grise, 75 of Huntsville, Ky. passed away Monday, September 12, 2016, at her residence. Anna was born July 10, 1941, in Butler County Kentucky to the late Clifford "Pete" and Mary "Mag" Greathouse Neely. She attended Huntsville Methodist Church and was retired from Logan Aluminum Canteen.

Johnny Barnes, 75 of Morgantown, Ky. passed away Monday, September 12, 2016, at his residence. Johnny was born June 26, 1941, in Butler County Kentucky to the late Theodore and Elsie Sweatt Barnes. He was a member of Woodbury Missionary Baptist Church and retired factory worker. Other than his parents he is preceded in death by one son Brian Wayne Barnes.

LB Wilson

LB Wilson, 95, of Neafus, KY, passed away Saturday, September 10, 2016 at Magnolia Village in Bowling Green. 

He was born on December 27, 1920 in Neafus, the son of the late Owen and Goldie Embry. He was a member of the Antioch Church of Christ and a WWII Army Combat Veteran. He was a self-employed truck driver but farming was his life’s work.

Lynn Diane Deweese

Lynn Diane Deweese, 48 of Lock Haven, PA, formerly of Morgantown, Ky. passed away Tuesday, September 6, 2016, at her residence. Lynn was born December 28, 1967 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Harold Joseph Rueve and Mary Lou Linehan Rueve who survives. She was of the Catholic faith, attended college at Spencerian College where she earned her LPN and served as class president. Later she earned her RN degree from Excelsior College. Lynn was a registered nurse at Jersey Shore Hospital in Pennsylvania.

Roger McKenney, 71 of Morgantown, Ky. passed away Monday, August 29, 2016, at the Morgantown Care & Rehab. Roger was born October 8, 1944, in Hartford, Ky. to the late Ellison and Lena Hack McKenney. He worked for the Butler County Banner for many years, and he enjoyed reading and genealogy. Other than his parents he is preceded in death by one brother Piner McKenney; two sisters Christine and Marjorie McKenney and adopted parents, Carl and Hazel Harreld.

William Coots

 William Oakley Coots, 73, of  Dunbar, Ky. passed away Wednesday, September 7, 2016, at his residence.  William was born August  17, 1943,  in Butler Co., Ky. to the late Oakley and Ruby Flener Coots.  He was a member of Aberdeen Baptist Church, and Banock Lodge 824. He was an avid deer hunter, fisherman and liked to watch Cincinnati Reds Baseball, Kentucky Wildcats Basketball and entertaining his grandchildren. William was a retired foreman from A&G Tree Service.  He was  preceded  in death by his parents, sister Dorothy Coots Flener; brother Jimmy Coots.
