William Coots

 William Oakley Coots, 73, of  Dunbar, Ky. passed away Wednesday, September 7, 2016, at his residence.  William was born August  17, 1943,  in Butler Co., Ky. to the late Oakley and Ruby Flener Coots.  He was a member of Aberdeen Baptist Church, and Banock Lodge 824. He was an avid deer hunter, fisherman and liked to watch Cincinnati Reds Baseball, Kentucky Wildcats Basketball and entertaining his grandchildren. William was a retired foreman from A&G Tree Service.  He was  preceded  in death by his parents, sister Dorothy Coots Flener; brother Jimmy Coots.

Lue Ann Cardwell

Lue Ann Cardwell, 78 of Morgantown, Ky. passed away Monday, September 5, 2016, at the Morgantown Care and Rehab. Lue Ann was born on June 18, 1938, in Warren County, Kentucky to the late Lucas and Elvie Brooks and wife of the late Sam Cardwell Jr. Other than her parents and husband she is preceded in death by one brother James Noble Brooks and one baby sister.

Wanda Lee Johnson, 77 of Morgantown, Ky. passed away Monday, September 5, 2016, Morgantown Care & Rehab. Wanda was born on October 1, 1938, in Butler County Kentucky to the late Jessie "Jack" Dwey and Ollo Adkins Turner and wife of the late Elvis Curtis Johnson. She was a member of Free Union General Baptist " Old Decker" Church, retired foster grandparent after ten years and worked at the Boys and Girls Club.

R.C. Phelps, 69 of Morgantown, Ky. was called home to our Lord and Savior on Sunday, August 28, 2016, at home surrounded by his loving wife, son, family and friends.
R.C. was a proud Veteran, a member of the NRA, a Christian, and a Republican. He is preceded in death by his parents Ebon and Lena Mae Phelps, his brother Ebon Phelps Jr. and one granddaughter Jacquelyn Faith.

Elizabeth Ward

Elizabeth Ward, 92, of Morgantown, passed away Sunday, August 28, 2016, at the Medical Center Hospital, Bowling Green, Ky. She was born in Butler County on April 20, 1924, to the late Clarence and Glennie Martin Webster. Elizabeth was a member of Morgantown United Methodist Church and retired from GE.  She loved quilting, canning, making homemade bread, playing rook, dancing and loved her dog, Max. She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands James Ward and Robert Lamastus; one daughter Edra Dean Hampton; one son Wilbur D. Ward and grandson Christopher D. Ward.

Dorothy E. Morris

Dorothy E. Morris, 91 of Morgantown, Ky. passed away Monday, August 29, 2016, at her residence. Dorothy was born July 20, 1925, in Butler County Kentucky to the late Henry and Cora Daugherty Evans. She was a member of New Liberty Missionary Baptist Church, a Kentucky Colonel and retired after 30 years from the Green River Boys Camp as a cook. Other than her parents she is preceded in death by one daughter Carrie Flener; three brothers Morville, Standford and Murt Evans and one sister Mary Alice Evans.

Curtis “Spider” Wilson

Curtis “Spider” Wilson, age 81, of Oldham County, KY, passed away Saturday, (August 27, 2016) at the Baptist Health Hospital in Oldham County.

He was born on July 17, 1935 in Grayson County, KY, the son of the late Vessie and Vennie Mudd Wilson.

He was a retired truck driver and cabinet builder, who enjoyed hunting, fishing and riding motorcycles.

Jerry Wayne Chapman

Jerry Wayne Chapman 57, of Bowling Green entered into rest Sunday, August 28, 2016 at The Medical Center. Jerry was born June 6, 1959 in Bowling Green. He was preceded in death by his parents Richard Leon and Ann Guffy Maxey Chapman.

Jerry was a Director of the Bank as well as Vice President and Lending Supervisor at Morgantown Bank and Trust and attended Lost River Church of Christ.

Anna Jo Hunt Peay, 83 of Bowling Green, Ky. formerly of Morgantown, Ky. passed away Sunday, August 28, 2016, at the Hospice of Southern Kentucky Hospice Center in Bowling Green, Ky. Anna was born September 20, 1932, in Butler County Kentucky to the late Crawford Miliam and Esther Gibson Hunt and wife of the late Glenn Peay. She was of the Baptist Faith and was a caregiver. Other than her parents and husband she is preceded in death by one son Donald Peay and two brothers and one sister

Herrel “Dobin” Deweese

Herrel “Dobin” Deweese, 81 of Bloomington Indiana passed away Friday, August 26, 2016, at the Golden Living Center.  Herrel was born August 17, 1935, in Aberdeen, Kentucky, son of the late Troy and Velcie (Cannon) Deweese. He was a Sheet Metal Worker for the Local #20 in Indianapolis. Herrel was a loving husband and father who enjoyed singing and playing music, especially with his son.
He was preceded in death by two brothers Charles and Raymond Deweese.
