Harvey Cecil Taylor

Harvey Cecil Taylor, 85, Morgantown, Kentucky, died Saturday, Sept. 8, 2018, at Hospice of Southern Kentucky in Bowling Green. He was born April 6, 1933, in Butler County, Kentucky, to the late Arlie and Easter Snodgrass Taylor and was husband of the late Fiona Sue Mitchell Taylor.
        He was a member of Banock Masonic Lodge #824, the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite South Bend Valley (Indiana), and General Richard Butler Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution. He retired from Inland Steel Corporation in East Chicago, Indiana, where he had worked for many years as a foreman in the chemical testing department. He was a farmer and CFO for Sure Care of Kentucky.  Other than his parents and wife he is preceded in death by one step-grandson Craig Givens, one brother, V.L. Taylor, and one sister, Lodema Botts.
        Harvey Cecil Taylor is survived by one daughter, Deborah Givens and husband Roger of Morgantown; one granddaughter, Beth Hathaway and husband Andy of Independence, Kentucky.; one great-grandson, Grady Hathaway of Independence; one step-grandson, Chris Givens and wife Jobi of White House, Tennessee; two step-granddaughters, Cindy McCoy and husband Tim of Morgantown and Carla Turner and husband Paul of Georgia; six step-great-grandchildren and six step-great-great-grandchildren; two step-daughters, Denise Bunner and husband Blake of Rockport, Indiana, and Jessica Lesbirel of Morgantown; five step-grandchildren, Sarah Price and husband Tyler of Rockport, Joshua Bunner and wife Jacie of Rockport, Rachel Bunner of Rockport, Evan Webster and wife DeeDee of Morgantown, and Forest White of Morgantown,; two step-great-grandchildren, Grayson Price and Leliana Bunner, both of Rockport; and one nephew, David Botts, of Morgantown.
        Funeral services will be at the Jones Funeral Chapel Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2018, at 10 a.m. with Bro. Tommy West officiating. Burial will be in the Snodgrass Cemetery where Forest White, Butch Burden, Evan Webster, Josh Bunner, Chris Givens and Andy Hathaway will be serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be Monday, Sept. 10, 2018, from 5 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 8 a.m. until funeral time at 10 a.m. at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
