Gene Neighbors, 66 of Morgantown, Kentucky passed away Monday October 22, 2018 at his residence. Gene was born April 17, 1952 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Jimmy and Joyce Phelps Neighbors. He was a member of Woodbury United Methodist Church, Reedyville Masonic Lodge#438 and Scottish Rite in Louisville, Ky.. Gene was a retired truck driver for Walmart and loved drag racing, fishing and mini tractor pulling. Other than his parents he is preceded in death by one sister Patricia Neighbors, one brother Douglas Neighbors and one nephew Greg Neighbors. 

Gene Neighbors is survived by his loving wife of 46 years Linda Sykes Neighbors of Morgantown, KY; two sons Chad Neighbors of Richmond, Virginia and Jeremy Neighbors and wife Holly of Morgantown, KY; three granddaughters Journey Phelps of Shelbyville, KY, Meagan Phelps of Bowling Green, KY and Ellie Neighbors of Morgantown, KY; one grandson Landon Cardwell of Morgantown, KY; three brothers Walton Neighbors and wife Kathy of Morgantown, KY, Galon Neighbors and wife Amanda of Morgantown, KY and Eric Neighbors of Morgantown, KY and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Thursday October 25, 2018 at 11:00am with Bro. Randy Nielsen officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday October 24, 2018 from 4:00pm - 8:00pm with Masonic services conducted by Reedyville Lodge # 438 at 7:00pm. Visitation will be held on Thursday October 25, 2018 from 8:00am until funeral time at 11:00am at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
