Mary Parks Givens

Mary Parks Givens, age 82, of Morgantown, Ky. passed away peacefully on Monday, Feb. 26, 2024 at the Hospice House of Southern Kentucky.  She was born on Aug. 15, 1941 in Daviess Co., Ky.  She was of the Church of Christ faith and worked at Caldwell Leather for many years.  Following its closing they started Warren’s Leather Shop, where they worked until Warren’s passing.   She later worked at Triple C Leather Company for many years until she retired. Mary enjoyed taking care of her flower gardens, mowing her yard, feeding the hummingbirds and talking with her friends on the phone.

Brenda Sue Deweese

Brenda Sue Deweese, age 80 of Morgantown, KY passed away Monday, February 26, 2024 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY. Brenda was born on Friday, February 11, 1944 in Scottsville, KY to the union of the late Warner and Violet Lee Witcher Duke. She was a member of Leonard Oak General Baptist Church and retired from Avis Car Rentals in Bowling Green, KY. After retirement Brenda worked at the Farmboy Restaurant as a waitress for many years and she never met a stranger. She enjoyed dancing, anything Elvis and she could light up a room when she walked in.

Judy Kiper Daugherty

Judy Kiper Daugherty, age 76 of Morgantown, KY passed away Saturday, February 24, 2024 at the Morgantown Care & Rehab. Judy was born January 23, 1948 in Butler County, KY to the union of the late Adron and Alice Burden Kiper. Other than her parents she is preceded in death by one step grandson Talon Jones.

Jeffery Lewis "Jeffro" Rife

Jeffery Lewis "Jeffro" Rife, age 60 of Morgantown, KY passed away Thursday, February 22, 2024 at his son's residence. Jeffro was born on Thursday, December 26, 1963 in Beaver Dam, KY to the union of the late Forrest J. and Cordie Mae Montgomery Rife. He was a Army National Guard Veteran and employed at Real Alloy, where he worked for many years. Jeffro enjoyed fishing, riding motorcycles and spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.

Roger Lee Goodley, age 72 of Owensboro, Kentucky passed away Thursday, February 22, 2024 at the Heartford House in Owensboro, KY. Roger was born on Monday, March 5, 1951 in Henderson County, KY to the late Robert O. Goodley Sr. and Mamie Hall Watson. He was a member of New Life Church in Owensboro, KY and retired from the drywall and construction business. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his children and grandchildren. Other than his parents he is preceded in death by one sister Imogene Priest and two brothers Jim and Gary Goodley.

Ruda Mae Cook "Rudie" Deweese

Ruda Mae Cook "Rudie" Deweese, age 98 of Glasgow, KY formerly of Aberdeen, KY passed away Saturday, February 17, 2024 at her daughter's home in Glasgow, KY.  She was born on Friday, May 8, 1925 in Ohio County, KY and the youngest of three children to the late Joseph Estil and Anna Jane Cook.  Rudie married William Paul Deweese on August 22, 1942 and they celebrated 57 years together. She was a WWII military wife who then spent most of her married life alongside Paul and their children working the farm of Eden School Road in Aberdeen, KY.

Derrick Jamaal Williams

Derrick Jamaal Williams, 39, of Beaver Dam, Kentucky passed away on Sunday, February 18, 2024 at Ohio County Healthcare. He was born July 13, 1984 in Bowling Green, Kentucky to Garnett and Sherry Russ Williams. Derrick was a 2002 graduate of Butler County High School and he worked as a CNA at Signature Healthcare of Hartford. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his boys. Derrick loved hunting, fishing, sports and the Dallas Cowboys. He was dedicated to his job and adored his residents at the nursing home.

Sandra Dee Lindsey

Sandra Dee Lindsey, age 54 of Sunfish, departed this life at her residence, with her family by her side on Saturday, February 17, 2024.  The Warren County native was born on February 22, 1969 to the late Charles Lindsey and Helen Mae Embry.  She was married to her soul mate and loving husband of thirty-seven years, Rodney Lindsey, who survives.

Norma Sue Drake

Norma Sue Drake, 81, of Bowling Green passed away, Monday February 12, 2024 at her residence. She was a native of Butler Co. and born January 17, 1943. She was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Drake, and a brother Harold McKinney.

Norma was retired from Sumitomo and a faithful member of Forest Park Baptist Church since 1996. She was a loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother.
