Opal Mae Phelps, age 83 of Morgantown, KY passed away Saturday, September 16, 2023 at the Morgantown Care & Rehab. Opal was born on Saturday, March 2, 1940 in Butler County, KY to the union of the late Tower and Nellie Farris Johnson and wife of the late Denzil W. Phelps She was a member of Roundhill Church of Christ and retired from Kellwood in Morgantown. Opal loved spending time with her family and enjoyed sewing, quilting, gardening, planting flowers, going to church, and reading her Bible.

Kenneth E. Duke, age 46, of Morgantown, Ky. passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2023 at his residence.  He was born in Butler Co., Ky. on March 23, 1977.  Kenneth worked for WAKY Signs in Bowling Green, Ky. for many years.  He was a computer whiz and loved collecting comic books.   He was preceded in death by his parents Randall and Myrtie Johnson Duke; brother Dewey P. Duke; grandparents Edna Duke and Nelly and Tower Johnson.

Christian Felipe Gomez Francisco, age 9 of Morgantown, KY  passed away Sunday, September 3, 2023 at the Vanderbilt Children's Hospital in Nashville, TN. Christian was born on Tuesday, November 26, 2013 in Owensboro, KY to the union of Pedro and the late Eulalia Gomez. He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Morgantown, KY. Christian was a 4th grade student at Morgantown Elementary School, he loved basketball, playing guitar, singing and reading the Bible. Other than his mother, Christian is preceded in death by his grandparents Felipe Gomez Pedro and Juana Perez Pedro.

 Eulalia Gomez, age 30 of Morgantown, KY passed away Saturday, September 2, 2023 in Cromwell, KY. Eulalia was born on Tuesday, December 15, 1992 in Homestead, Florida to Magdalena Tomas Tomas who survives. She was a member of the Holy Trinity Catholic Church,  a extra ordinary Eucharistic Minister and a catequist at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Eulalia initiated the Rosary Prayers in peoples homes. Eulalia loved helping people, she enjoyed reading her Bible, spending time with her children and watching them at their sporting events.

James Newton Glover, age 75, of Morgantown, Ky. passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 6 at the Greenview Regional Hospital in Bowling Green, Ky.  He was born on July 22, 1948 in Cromwell, Ky.  James was the owner/mechanic of Glover’s Speedway Performance in Clearwater, Fl.  He enjoyed fishing and auto racing.  He was preceded in death by his parents Leroy and Mildred Baxter Glover; first wife Gayle Neace Glover; brothers Bobby Glover and Danny Glover.

Donald Earl Lindsey, age 78 of Morgantown, Kentucky passed away Friday, September 1, 2023 at the University of Louisville Hospital in Louisville, KY. Donald was born on Saturday, February 17, 1945 in Butler County, KY to the union of the late Julian E. and Maxine Phelps Lindsey and husband of the late Retha Louise O'Bannon Lindsey. He retired from DECO Paper Products in Louisville, KY and he enjoyed watching the University of Kentucky Basketball and his tractors.

Denzel Kenneth Lindsey, age 86 of Morgantown, KY passed away Monday, September 4, 2023 at his residence. Denzel was born on Wednesday, January 27, 1937 in Butler County, KY to the union of the late Loma and Gordie Lee Lindsey. Denzel loved working, farming, fencing, building things and doing carpentry work. He was retired from the Kellwood Company in Morgantown, KY. Other than his parents he is preceded in death by two brothers Alton and Bobby Lindsey.

Darrell Glenn Kessinger, age 66, of Jetson, Ky. passed away on Saturday, Sept. 2, 2023 at the Rockcastle Regional Hospital and Respiratory Care Center in Mt. Vernon, Ky.  He was born in Jefferson Co., Ky. on Sept. 28, 1957.  He was a drywall contractor and loved to fish, ride motorcycles and taking care of his animals.  He was preceded in death by his father Joy D. Kessinger and mother Wanda Blanten. Brother David Kessinger; grandmother Nokie Kessinger and grandfather Joe Cleveland Kessinger.

Arville Dewayne Liner, age 72 of Hardinsburg, KY passed away Wednesday, August 30, 2023  at his friends residence. Arville was born on Thursday, October 5, 1950 in Butler County, KY to the union of the late Orville and Elizabeth Stearsman Liner. Arville was a United States Army Veteran serving in the Vietnam War as a door gunner and retired from Big Rivers Electric. He enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, riding motorcycles, music and his cats.
