Fordia Mae Dunn, age 74 of Morgantown, KY, passed away at her residence, on Thursday, February 5, 2026. Born on April 23, 1951, in Jetson, KY, Fordia's life was a testament to love, laughter, and creativity.

Bobbie J. Hooten, age 84, of Morgantown, KY passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 4, 2026 at the Tristar Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, TN.  He was born in Scottsville, KY on February 3, 1942.  Bobbie was a member of Sandy Creek Baptist Church, an Army Veteran and retired from public work after 55 years.  He was a farmer and worked in construction.  Bobbie loved to farm, fish, garden, watch westerns and run the sawmill.  He also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. 

Thelma Lorene Embry, known affectionately as Lorene to her friends and family, passed away on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at the Colonial Nursing Home in Bowling Green, KY. Born on September 30, 1927, in Butler County, KY, Lorene lived a rich and fulfilling life characterized by her loving nature, kindness, and thoughtfulness.

BROWNSVILLE, Ky.- Dorothy Lee French White, 90, of Huff passed away peacefully with family by her side Feb. 2, 2026 at Edmonson Center.

The Edmonson County native was a homemaker and a 1953 graduate of Sunfish High School. She was a daughter of the late Dennis French and Lula Duvall French and the wife of the late James Curtis “Curt” White. She was preceded in death by a son, Gary White and a brother, Kenneth French.

 Joyce Neighbors Flener, age 81 of Hazel, KY, formerly of Morgantown, KY passed away on Sunday, February 1, 2026, at the Murray Calloway County Hospital in Murray, Kentucky. Born on March 3, 1944, in Bowling Green, Kentucky.

Paula Ann Givens, age 68 of Morgantown, KY,  passed away Sunday, February 1, 2026 at her residence. Born on June 26, 1957, in Butler County, KY to the late Robert and Wanda Pruitt Kelly. Paula leaves behind a family who will forever miss her creativity, laughter and unmistakable personality. Other than her parents she is preceded in death by her brother Danny Kelly.

Melvin Carl "MC" Lacefield, a cherished soul known for his kindness, friendliness, and intelligence, passed away peacefully at his residence in Morgantown, Kentucky, on February 1, 2026. Born on August 30, 1945, in Butler County, Kentucky, MC's life was a testament to the enduring spirit of love and hard work that he embodied throughout his 80 years.
