Gregory L. Embry, 61, of Owensboro, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, May 10, 2026, at Heartford House in Owensboro, Kentucky. He was born on January 10, 1965, in Bowling Green, Kentucky, and lived a life marked by hard work, devotion to family, and a steady presence to those who knew him.

Greg was a member of Warrens Mill Church of Christ, United States Air Force veteran, and he spent several years working in construction, a field that reflected his strong work ethic and dependable nature. He was also proud to serve as a baseball coach for Eastern Little League, where he shared his time, encouragement, and knowledge with young players. He loved fishing and found peace in the simple pleasures of life. Whether spending time outdoors or enjoying the company of those closest to him, Gregory appreciated the moments that brought comfort, laughter, and connection.

Greg was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Lee Embry, and his grandparents, Marvin and Palma Warren.

He is survived by his two sons, Christopher Treanor and Sean Treanor, both of Owensboro, Kentucky; his companion, Joann Treanor of Owensboro, Kentucky; his brother, Mike Embry of Tompkinsville, Kentucky; his aunts, Celia Drake of Morgantown, KY and Jolene Johnson and her husband Les, of Beaver Dam, Kentucky; several cousins; and a host of friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date with burial in the Warrens Mill Cemetery in Gilstrap, KY. Arrangements are under the direction of the Jones Funeral Chapel.
