Lena Williams

Lena Williams, 78, of Morgantown, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, Kentucky. She was born on May 15, 1948, in Butler County, Kentucky, and she lived a life marked by love, kindness, and selflessness.

Lena was preceded in death by her parents, James Thomas “JT” and Kathleen Snell Williams, as well as her siblings Darrell Williams, Leonard “Buddy” Williams, Louise Herald, Tommy Williams, and Mildred Williams. She was also preceded in death by her nephew Mark Williams and her niece Kelly Hawkins.

She is survived by her brother Roger Williams and his wife Carolyn of Morgantown, Kentucky. She also leaves behind a loving family of nephews, Brian Williams and his wife Desirez of Morgantown, Kentucky, Michael Orange and his wife Stephanie of Morgantown, Kentucky, Jeff Williams and his wife Laverne of Indianapolis, Indiana, Jamie Williams and his wife Glenda of Indianapolis, Indiana, Jacob Todd Williams and his wife Tiffany of Morgantown, Kentucky, Jon Thomas William and his wife Samantha of Morgantown, Kentucky, and Adam Williams and his wife Andrea of Cromwell, Kentucky. Her nieces include Tereasa Mills and her husband Orie of Indianapolis, Indiana, Tosha Parrish of Bowling Green, Kentucky, and Barbie Poston and her husband John of Bowling Green, Kentucky. She is also survived by several great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins.

Lena’s professional life was marked by her dedication at Kanes Manufacturing and Delta in Morgantown, where she retired after many years of faithful service. She was known for her strong work ethic, her dependable nature, and the quiet pride she took in doing her work well. Her years of service reflected the same steady character that she brought to every part of her life.

Outside of work, Lena found joy in the simple and meaningful pleasures of life. She loved shopping, vacationing with family, and spending time surrounded by the people she loved most. These moments were especially dear to her, and she treasured every opportunity to make memories with her family

Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Saturday, May 23, 2026 at 11:00am with Bro. Raleigh Blancett and Bro. Jaret Henderson officiating. Burial will be in the Tuck Cemetery where her family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 22, 2026 from 2:30pm - 7:00pm and Saturday 8:00am until funeral time at 11:00am at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
