Sheena Cook, Artist

When living in a small town, you think you know everyone. Yet just because you wait together in the line at the bank or pass each other in the Dollar General doesn't mean you truly know a person's passions and abilities. As the seasons change and the world around us evolves, so do the buildings in our town that define our community. The newest edition, appropriately named, is One27 Main. This building space was originally a bank, has been multiple restaurants, a consignment shop, boutique, and is now a venue for music lovers. While a small space, keep in mind that some of the best music and musicians have come from small venues, Tidball's and the front porch of the general store in Rosine, to name a couple.

Cook 65th Anniversary

Charles Cook and Jerline Oller were married in a store front church in Louisville, KY on December 23, 1956 by Rev Philemon Whobrey. They went to church on a Sunday morning and when the service was over, they stood before Bro Whobrey and said their marriage vows. No fanfare, no reception, not even any pictures were taken. They walked out of that store front and later had 4 children, 7 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren, 22 descendants in all. Pictured are mom and dad, then with their children, then the whole bunch together.
