What is alcoholism?  It is a chronic disease characterized by uncontrolled drinking due to both a physical and emotional dependence on alcohol.  Although the condition can be cured, there are treatments that can help.  Signs of alcoholism for an individual include problems controlling drinking, continuing to use alcohol even if it causes problems, or withdrawal symptoms when they rapidly decrease or stop drinking.

The Carter's Christmas Curation

In an unassuming home on Brownsville Road, you will find one of the most extensive collections of Santas I have ever seen. You are instantly greeted by a Christmas wonderland when you enter the home. Santas adorn the living room, the mantle, the tree, and even the table settings are Santa themed right down to every detail, including the napkin rings.

4-H teaches compassion, appreciation through community service

During the holidays, our attention often goes to how we can help others and give back to our communities. Kentucky 4-H youth practice this caring attitude throughout the year.

By participating in 4-H, members learn ways to become engaged citizens in their communities with the hope that they become future local leaders and decision makers. One way 4-H encourages youth develop compassion and local pride is through community service.

Fun Time at CandyTown Festival

Friday night, December 3, 2021 will be a night to remember for many children. Not only did they get to see Santa (Ryan Emmick and his vintage truck), The Grinch (Jimmy Felty), Cindy Loo Who (Donna Annis), and Mrs. Claus (Amy Smith) and take pictures as well, they got to enjoy many events of the holiday.
