The Green River Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution with Regent Melanie Hunt organized a Bell Ringing Ceremony to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier on November 11,2021.   All over America people were ringing bells twenty-one times to Honor what our Veterans have sacrificed for us.

Jared Hudnall awarded Eagle Scout Rank

Morgantown Troop 208 had a very busy weekend.  They went Boondoggle Camping, which is no running water, no electricity, and no heating in the tents on a weekend that saw below freezing temperatures.  They drove into Morgantown and marched in the Veterans Parade and Sunday afternoon met at the First Baptist Church to celebrate Jared officially receiving his rank of Eagle Scout.

Elmo Lincoln Martin and Charles E. Roman’s shared stories from World War Two and both have written very interesting books about their lives.

Elmo is 101 years old, over eighty years ago when he was making slingshots, he would have never dreamed that ten years later he would be a Sargent in the U. S. Army and training his men to shoot M1 Carbines and Bazookas. He was born and raised on Long Branch School Road on the north side of the Green River.

When I was first introduced to Butler County native and internationally known actor Andy Stahl by a mutual friend I wasn’t sure what to expect, after all, I had never met a real actor before. Turned out that he didn’t have painted lips, wasn’t wearing make-up, and when he stood up he also wasn’t bigger than life.
