Wee Miss US Mini Supreme, Emalyn Pearl Southerland

Emalyn Pearl Southerland

Emalyn Pearl Southerland, daughter of Tim and Mandy Southerland of Morgantown, is your Wee Miss US Mini Supreme. She also won Wee Miss Photogenic, Wee Miss Personality and was given a sponsorship award. She competed at the Amerifest National Pageant in Sevierville, Tennesse on July 28, 2018.

Hampton Sisters Crowned At AmeriFest

Kinleigh and Shaylee Hampton

This past weekend Kinleigh Hampton, age 4 and Shaylee Hampton, age 8 competed at AmeriFest National Pageant in Sevierville, Tennessee.  They both got to compete at state last November and Shaylee was named Young Miss Kentucky and Kinleigh was named first runner-up.  The preliminary Queen of the Falls held at Rough River qualified them to go to state and then on to nationals.  They competed at the national level against several girls from Kentucky and many other states.  They both introduced themselves, answered an on-stage question, and competed in formal and fashion wear.

12th Annual Butler County Antique Small Engine & Tractor Show

The Butler County Antique Engine and Tractor Club did it again.  Their 12th annual show was a success featuring several tractors from different states, mowers, engines, and a variety of vendors.   This year's show featured the Silver King tractors and Sandwich Engines.  Over 100 entries covered the grounds at Charles T. Black City Park. Great food, a parade thru town, tractor games, raffles, and entertainment rounded out a successful two day show for the club.

Pendley Retires from Morgantown Utilities

Joyce Nally, Timmy Pendley, and Randall Gaskey

Timmy "Pinball" Pendley officially retired from Morgantown Utilities after 27 years of service on July 31, and several gathered to wish him well.  He started working on October 25, 1990, and became the first person to retire with full years of service from Morgantown Utilities.  During Pendley's tenure, he worked for Larry Martin, Woody Martin, Dewayne Colter and Randall Gaskey. Co-workers presented Pendley with a Blackstone Grill and served cake and homemade ice cream.
