Richland Baptist Church (6343 Russellville Road) is hosting their annual Caring & Sharing Day (free yard sale) on Saturday, July 14th from 8-11 a.m.

In 1993, Scott and Patti Neel travel to Hungary to be Missionaries with the Christian Crusade for Christ.  Also, with the Neel’s was one-and-a-half-year-old daughter, Hannah and later that year son Andrew was born.  Their son Jack came along two years later.

The Butler County Extension Service will offer Beef Quality Care and Assurance training.  This training is designed to help beef producers produce healthy and wholesome beef that consumers demand. 

On Saturday July 7th 2018 at 5PM, the dog show was held at pavilion #3. The event was sponsored by McDonald's, Fuller Physical Therapy, and Hardee's. The turnout yielded 27 contestants. The winners were as follows:

The Green River Catfish Festival pageants kicked off with the 0-7 year olds and the Miss Catfish on Thursday night at the Eva J. Hawes Building. A total of 104 particpants competed.

Winners included:

Miss Green River Catfish Festival is Conley Graclyn Moore, the 16-year-old daughter of Greg and Chasity Moore.

The first runner-up is Shalyn Dawn Bratcher, the 16-year-old daughter of Ryan and Crystal Bratcher, and second runner-up is Lillian Ruth Moore, the 21-year-old daughter of Woody and Margaret Moore.  Tamara Ann Kitchens, the 19-year-old daughter of Ginger and Darrell Brown.

Miss Butler County Fair is Jamee French, the 17-year-old daughter of Mark and Peg French. 

With approximately 215 terrapins competing and 18 individual heat races, Tanner Farris, Katie Duncan and Conner Diehl finished in the top three positions  overall at the 2018 Green River Catfish Festival Terrapin Race, held Wednesday morning, July 4, at the
