9/11 Remembered

Butler County High School NJROTC

The Butler County Area Technology Center's Business classes held a 9/11 remembrance service.  Philip Stagner, the business instructor, organized the event to bring the community together and provide students an opportunity to honor the fallen heroes of September 11, 2001.

Several students, community members, first responders, volunteer firemen,elected officials, and law enforcement officers were in attendance.

Quality Cruise-In Honors Vincent

Saturday, September 15 was the 9th annual Quality Cruise-in. This event was dedicated in memory of the late Keith Vincent.  The feeling and spirit of camaraderie and friendship was the air as community members, family and friends gathered for a day of fast cars, food, and friends. There were over 108 registered entries, encompassing cars, trucks, tractors, and motorcycles. Procceds from the event funds the Quality Christmas Parade.

North Park Fest

Several gathered on the banks of the Green River on Saturday night, September 15, for the 2nd Annual Butler County North Park Fest. Located in the Leonard Oak community of northwestern Butler County, the park continues to expand from two concrete boat ramps - one just above the old Woodbury Dam and another just below it, to a newly added pavilion, a stage, flagpole, and picnic tables.

4-H Issues Conference – November 15-18

The 2018 4-H Issues Conference is being held November 15 - 18, 2018 at the Lake Cumberland 4-H Educational Center in Jabez, KY. Issues Conference is a one-time experience and is open to sophomores and juniors in high school.

Aberdeen Baptist Homecoming- Oct. 7th

9/11: Cash Express recognizes first responders

In commemoration of 9/11, employees of Cash Express of Morgantown recently presented Butler County First Responders with a cake to show appreciation for their service.

On 9/11 many first responders selflessly and without hesitation went and served their community when they were needed the most.  They put their lives on the line and made other’s emergencies their own.  Just like those first responders, Butler County’s First Responders selflessly serve the community.

Provo Pie Supper 2018
