This past weekend Kinleigh Hampton, age 4 and Shaylee Hampton, age 8 competed at AmeriFest National Pageant in Sevierville, Tennessee.  They both got to compete at state last November and Shaylee was named Young Miss Kentucky and Kinleigh was named first runner-up.  The preliminary Queen of the Falls held at Rough River qualified them to go to state and then on to nationals.  They competed at the national level against several girls from Kentucky and many other states.  They both introduced themselves, answered an on-stage question, and competed in formal and fashion wear. 

The three-day event concluded with the crowning on Sunday.  Kinleigh was crowned Duchess of the 4-year-old category while Shaylee was crowned Duchess for the 8-year-old division also receiving The Best Personality award.  They both reside in Caneyville and would like to thank everyone who sponsored or helped them in any way.  They are the daughters of Selina Linder.
