BCMS Community:  I want to officially welcome everyone to the 2018-2019 school year!  I hope you are enjoying your summer and have exciting adventures to share with us.  Over the summer, the faculty and staff of Butler County Middle School have been working hard to prepare the building for the first day of school.

I am privileged to have the opportunity to continue to serve as the Butler County Middle School Principal, and am excited to see the incoming 6th grade students.  This year we are doing something a little different.  We will have a traditional open house on July 26th.  On this evening, all incoming 6th grade parents and 6th grade students are invited to attend an orientation from 5PM-6PM in the BCMS gym. If you are unable to attend, we will be posting the orientation on Facebook Live on our school page (BCMS News).   At 6PM the building will be open to all grade level students and parents to meet teachers, receive a tentative schedule, enroll new students, and tour the building.  BCMS will be offering a light dinner in the concession stand landing for those who attend. We hope to see everyone there for a fun and exciting evening!

 As you prepare to register for 6th grade, please remember that all incoming 6th graders are required to have their immunizations and physicals before the first day of school. These forms can be brought with you to orientation if you have them completed.

It is an honor to work with our highly qualified and dedicated staff, our wonderful students, supportive families, and amazing community.  As you know, the middle school years are such a critical time in the social, mental, and physical development of students.  I look forward to working with each of you to make this school year a success.

Finally, BCMS wants to thank our custodial crew who have been working diligently to prepare our building for the start of the new school year. We want to thank our school board for their continued support in helping to create a great environment for learning and developing future leaders.

Enjoy the remaining days of summer!  BCMS looks forward to seeing all of the new and familiar faces as we return to school on August 8th, 2018.
