Lady Bears & Bears pick up wins at Christian Educational Consortium

Lady Bears beat CEC Louisville, 58-14

LOUISVILLE — Butler County pulled away to beat Christian Educational Consortium (CEC) Louisville 58-14 in a girls' high school basketball game on Saturday, Jan. 28. 

Visiting Butler County notched its fourth straight win. Following the win, Butler County improved to 15-6. 

Butler County took control early, outscoring CEC Louisville 13-4 in the first quarter.

After holding CEC Louisville scoreless in the second period, Butler County led 27-4 at halftime.

WHITESVILLE — Winning on the road, Butler County swept Whitesville Trinity in a 12th District basketball doubleheader Friday, Jan. 27.

MES Archery takes 1st place in Bullseye

 Robyn Householder, Nehemiah Cardwell, Carter Burdette, Raelynn Southerland, and Coaches Matthew Burdette, Catron Burdette, and Sarah Grubb.

Congratulations to the MES Archery team for their success on Saturday, January 21, at the Butler County Bears Den Home Tournament.

Best wishes at the tournament this weekend at the Warren East Raider Classic for both bullseye and 3D.  MES archers will shoot bullseye at 9am or 10:30am and 3D will shoot at 1pm at the Ephraim White Gym 1/28/23.

Commission recommends price for senior lifetime sportsman's license

In the special called meeting, members of the Commission voted unanimously to recommend an amendment to the license, tag and permit fees administrative regulation to enable the sale of a Senior Lifetime Sportsman's License at a price of $180.
