BCMS Volleyball begins inaugural season

Butler County Middle School has a volleyball team for the first time in history. They played Breck and Ohio County at home. The Lady Bears took losses against both, but the 8th-grade team did win one game against Breckinridge. Tuesday, they traveled to Grayson Co.

HARTFORD - Butler County remained in the loss column on the road against a longtime 3rd Region rival. Three scorers reached double figures as Ohio County topped visiting Ohio County 62-52 in a girls' high school basketball game on Thursday night.

Griffin takes part in 7th grade all-star game

Briar Griffin, a 7th grade basketball player at Butler County Middle School, was recently selected to participate in the Southern Kentucky 7th Grade West All-Star Team   

BCMS 7th grade basketball Coach Adam Stovall commented that Briar is a "powerful-minded young man with great drive and strong leadership, love his will to win and improve, has been a pleasure to coach."

HAWESVILLE - Butler County slipped back into the loss column on the road as host Hancock County pulled away to win 75-49 in a girls' high school basketball game Thursday night.
With the loss, Butler County dropped to 9-13.
Hancock County improved to 11-12 with the win.

BCMS 7th Grade Boys GRVC Champions

  On Thursday night the Butler County Middle School 7th Grade Boys team defeated Muhlenberg North to be named the Green River Valley Conference Champions. The Bears won 55-44. Congratulations to the Bears and Coaches.

BCHS Indoor Track Meet

Teams from across Kentucky, as well as some from Tennessee, traveled to Murray St. University this past weekend to compete in the West Region indoor track & field meet at the CFSB Center. For the first time in school history, Butler County High School was one of the 14 teams competing.
