BCHS BASKETBALL: Parker Rice scores 1,000th career point
MORGANTOWN - Butler County senior center Parker Rice reached a milestone recently, scoring his 1,000th career point.
Among the top boys' basketball players in the 3rd Region, Rice has led Butler County throughout the 2019-20 season. With the Bears boasting a 14-4 record through the first 18 games in the 2019-20 season, Rice is averaging a team-high 21.7 points per game. He has scored 390 points in 18 games.
Leading Butler County in multiple categories, Rice is averaging a team-best 8.4 rebounds per game.
"I am so happy for Parker, he has worked hard to improve his all around game. He put in the work this summer and his success is a great example of how determination, commitment and desire lead to great accomplishments," said BCHS head coach Calvin Dockery. "I believe I am most impressed by the leadership he has shown this year. Parker deserves to be mentioned with the best players in this area. He is a great young man, as well, to be able to coach a young man of his character is truly a blessing."
