Board OKs 2021-22 school calendar and improvement plans for schools

The Butler County Board of Education met in regular session on Tuesday, January 12th, 2021 at the Butler County High School Auditorium.  Amy Hood, Delbert Johnson, Debbie Hammers, Ryan Daugherty, and Rich Ellis were the board members present.  The meeting was chaired by Superintendent Robert Tuck.

FISCAL COURT: Sheriff presents budget, magistrates approve several items

Butler County Fiscal Court met on Monday, January 11, at 5:00 p.m. at the Butler County Courthouse. All magistrates were in attendance: Stevie Givens, Kevin Phelps, Timmy Givens, David Whittinghill, and Dillon Bryant.

After approving the minutes for December 28, 2020 meeting, the court quickly moved through its agenda.

Teachers, staff members to begin receiving COVID-19 vaccinations on Wednesday

Teachers and staff members of the Butler County School District will begin the vaccination process for COVID-19 on Wednesday, January 13.  The first round of the two-shot Moderna vaccine will be administered at the BCHS Fieldhouse.

In 2020 there were 36 coroner calls made by the Butler County Coroner's Office and 37 provisional death reports signed for a cremation to be done.
