BC Board listens to proposed ideas for In-Person graduation and Prom

The Butler County Board of Education met in a regular session on Tuesday, March 9th, 2021 at the Butler County High School Auditorium.  Amy Hood, Delbert Johnson, Debbie Hammers, Ryan Daugherty, and Rich Ellis were the board members present.  The meeting was chaired by Superintendent Robert Tuck.

Butler County Rescue Squad: Training & Service

When tragedy strikes, members of the Butler County Rescue Squad (BCRS) are among the first on the scene.  Chief Brandon Keown, Assistant Chief Steven Johnson, and over twenty-five volunteers are 100 percent volunteers.  They go through hundreds of hours of training to help the community and surrounding communities when they are called to a scene.

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (March 1, 2021) – Due to heavy rain over the weekend some state routes are blocked due to flooding. Road conditions can change rapidly during flooding conditions. Roads can become flooded and clear very quickly. Motorists should not attempt to drive through possible high water.

MORGANTOWN, KY., - The City of Morgantown, Butler County and South Central Kentucky Economic Development celebrate the announcement of the area’s first certified Build-Ready site.

“South Central Kentucky has flourished with site advancements. Taking the steps to ensure our sites have this special designation makes for a faster turnaround bringing new jobs and new business to our hometown,” stated Mayor Billy Phelps. “Because of programs like this, we can give even more back to our citizens by proactively helping move businesses to Morgantown.”

KDE moves ahead with state plans after USED announces testing requirement
