Judith Ann Hughson, age 85, of Morgantown, Kentucky passed away on Wednesday, June 26, 2024. She was born in Durham, North Carolina and lived in Ahoskie, North Carolina for many years. In 1969, her family relocated to Morgantown, Kentucky for her husband’s job at Kellwood. They acclimated to their new home away from home and ended up making Morgantown a permanent home. Judy was a proud member of the Morgantown First United Methodist Church. She worked many different jobs during her working years, but most of her career was spent as the office manager at Wan’s Medical Clinic. Throughout the years, Judy had many interests, some of which included visits to the beach and mountains, gardening, cooking, working with children, bookkeeping, and volunteering with The Methodist Women. Judy is preceded in death by her parents, Rachel & Myron Hepner, and siblings, Robert Hepner of North Carolina and Sandra Tucker of Virginia.

Judy is lovingly remembered by her husband of 66 years, John Hughson and her children, Chris (Kelly) Hughson of Morgantown, KY and Carl (Natalie) Hughson of Bowling Green, KY. Judy also leaves behind her five grandchildren, Kristen & Kelsey Hughson of Bowling Green, KY; and Parker, Connor, & Nolan Hughson of Bowling Green, KY; a sister, Jean Krakow, of California and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Saturday, June 29, 2024 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Jim Mathews officiating. Burial will be in the Hill Haven Memory Garden. Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2024 from 10:00am until funeral time at 2:00pm at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
